As the name suggests, the streetwear brand was born from the heart of New York. Its style encapsulates the vibe of NY’s five boroughs: Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, Staten Island, and The Bronx. Moreover, it takes inspiration from the diverse 90s styles! The founder, Angelo Baque, launched the brand in 2012. Now Baque is a creative that has been in the industry for a while. And in 2024, the Awake NY Jordan Air Ship is another addition to the list of awesome collabs! You see, in June 2023, Awake opened its flagship store, and the attendees saw a great teaser.
Hanging from the ceiling, they saw a pair of Air Ships that nobody ever saw before. The kicks feature the classic white upper, with mismatched snakeskin collars. One came in red, the other in blue, and that hints at two upcoming colorways. Both feature the Jordan Wings logo, making the kicks look more Jordan-y than ever. Moreover, the kicks have an “A” near the toebox in Awake NY’s signature font. And finally, silver metallic swooshes complete the look!
According to rumors, we can expect the red Awake NY Jordan Air Ship to land on February 21, 2024. These babies will retail for $150, and they’ll probably be worth the effort to get them!
