Last but not least, it’s a shame if we gotta talk about sneakers in movies and no one mentions this. The Onitsuka Tiger single-handedly spread its authority over two different movies! Bruce Lee’s 1978 Game of Death is memorable for many reasons. One of these reasons is Lee’s all-yellow outfit, including the Onitsuka Tiger. Although the brand later became Asics, the kicks kept their name. And that was well-deserved if you ask me.

Fast forward to 2003, and Quentin Tarantino made a masterpiece in the name of Kill Bill. But what made that movie extra special for sneakerheads is Uma Thurman’s outfit! Inspired by Bruce Lee, Thurman killed it (literally) with the yellow tracksuit and the undying Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66.

The Orange Jordan 13 Is the Pair You Didn’t Know You Needed

So let’s get something straight: Colorful kicks are always a no-brainer! They add a dash of life to our otherwise black/grey outfits and give the wearer some extra style. Who could ever forget Jordan shattering a backboard in Italy in 1986? Definitely not any hardcore basketball fan.

Union LA x Jordan 1

2018 was the start of something new. The first collaboration between the LA-based shop and Jordan brand consisted of two colorways that we absolutely love. The blue toe featured white leather with blue overlays. However, the collar completely flips the colors and dons black and red leathers! The Blue Toe Union Jordan 1 retailed for $190 in November 2018 and resells for $2,500 on average!

The second colorway is the Black Toe Union Jordan 1. This pair follows the same aesthetic of the first pair. The upper consists of white leather and black and red overlay. The collar features white leather wings and a grey underlay. The kicks resell for an average of $2,080!

Union Jordan 4 Carries The Torch

Two years later and we’re ready for a new collaboration between these two brands. And what better silhouette to follow the 1s than the Jordan 4? The 4th silhouette is definitely one of the public’s top 5 Jordan silhouettes. So the Union Jordan 4 news just caught our attention the moment they surfaced!

Off-Noir Union Jordan 4

Such a bougie name for a pair of kicks. But who are we to complain, we’re copping anyway! The kicks feature an off-noir nubuck upper and mesh. However, we get a color-blocking vibe with the blue collar, translucent white wings, and red eyelets. The midsole and tongue also come in an off-white color. Finally, the look is complete and unique with the Air Jordan tag making it from the inner to the out of the tongue.

Guava Ice Colorway

Another colorway surfaced later. The Guava Ice Union Jordan 4 features guava ice uppers with the same off white midsole. The collar this time comes in red with a hint of the blue insole. Finally, the translucent wing is there with blue eyelets. So all in all, the pair is a sight to behold.

The kicks are dropping on August 29, 2020, and they will retail for $250. While the Off-Noir pair is probably a global release, the Guava ICe Union Jordan 4 will be Union-exclusive! Secondary market-wise, there are no resale values yet. But if the Union Jordan 4 keeps the same energy as the ones, boy we in for a ride! The inspiration for the new Jordan 4s is their 1986 Jordan 1 counterparts. The four new kicks feature a striking white leather upper. And that’s where the metallic part comes in! A plain white AJ4 would ruin the fun. That’s why the eyelets and Jordan branding on the back come in the metallic colors red, green, purple, or orange.

Release Details of New Jordan 4s!

The upcoming Air Jordan 4 Metallic Pack will drop on May 20, 2020. However, the release will be a regional drop. Every colorway will presumably drop exclusively in a certain region. So apparently, Adidas isn’t the only company playing the regional exclusivity card lately. The kicks will retail for $190.

As for the resale value, it depends on the colorway you’re copping! But so far, the most profitable pair out of the new Jordan 4s seems to be the Metallic Purple colorway. With a starting resale price of $290, the kicks can go up to $500! The other colorways are not a loss either because they all start off $260+ on resale, and that’s some good pocket money! 

Where to Buy the US Release
