CDG x Nike Sense 96 SP

We love unlikely mashups, and in this case, Comme Des Garcons totally delivered. The Nike Sense 96 SP mixes the cool Nike Air Max 96 aesthetic with Nike ISPA Sense’s functionality. And well, the end result is a pretty eccentric yet cool pair of kicks. Now, as far as we saw, the CDG Nike Sense 96 SP will be available in three colorways: white, black, and white/pink. And if you’re a fan of CDG’s collabs, you’ll be happy to know that an Air Force 1 collab also made an appearance!

Nigo x Nike Air Force 3

The Nike Air Force 1 might be the most popular silhouette, but the Air Force 3 will apparently get its flowers in 2025. So, Nigo showed up to the Kenzo show during Paris Fashion Week SS25 in a multicolored AF3. And in all honesty, we’re here for this cool take on these babies, especially in their low version. Sacai x Nike Zegamadome

We all know what an epic run the Nike x Sacai partnership had, and still is having. And while we got used to the contemporary designs, the new Zegamadome is a solid step out of the partnership’s comfort zone. You see, this pair is a cool mashup of the Nike Lava Dome and the trail-ready Nike Zegama. And honestly? It looks even better than both! Who knows? Maybe 2025 will be the year of unlikely mashups! AWGE x Puma

So, A$AP Rocky’s brand AWGE first runway show debuted during the Paris Fashion Week SS25. But between the cool fits and album reveal, many glossed over the footwear business that was going on. We didn’t though, and it seems like Riri and Rocky are both fans of Puma! You see, the models wore several Puma silhouettes like the Speedcat, Inhale, and the interesting Mostro 3D. Does that mean that a new partnership is imminent? Well, only time will tell!

Wales Bonner x Adidas Samba

Last but not least, the Adidas Samba made a huge appearance at the Wales Bonner show! The silhouette itself went through a major glow-up era and became a huge part of the sneaker industry. In addition to that, we get yellow-ish translucent outsoles and lace holes that give a vintage feel to the kicks. We just love it when Nike and Jordan Brand celebrate the holidays their way. And Easter certainly calls for some colorful pastels that JB perfectly delivered! Coming all the way back from 2006, Jordan 5 Green Bean is certainly a classic-level colorway. Best Nike Dunks of 2021

Most Popular

Heads up, the ranking we relied on is based on the total number of pairs sold on StockX in the last 12 months. And unsurprisingly, the top 3 Dunks are low tops that are very simple and easy to wear! First up we have the Black and White Dunk that everyone at this point should own. Next up we have the really nice Championship Red Dunk. In retrospect, these could pass as awesome Christmas sneakers with the white and red color blocking! Finally, the Nike Dunk Low Georgetown really left a nice mark before the end of the year.

Most Expensive

Of course, it won’t be a round-up list unless we talk about the most expensive sneakers. We all know that 2021 was full of crazy exclusive releases. They were pretty cool too because we all tried to get a pair… and sometimes even the best of us took the L! Anyway, on the top of our list, we have the starry Supreme Nike SB Dunk in its mean green colorway. In the second place, the Street Hawker Dunks in their special box are worth 1K+. And last but not least, we have Virgil Abloh’s Off White Nike Dunk Lot 1 out of the 50 different colorways!

Personal Favorites!

Okay, this is low-key our favorite part of the yearly ranking because we get to debate our favorites. Now, after several debates and petty fights, we chose the personal best Nike Dunks! First, we’ve got the really cool Parra Nike SB Dunk that came in time with the Tokyo Olympics. Then, for all the Japanese science fiction geeks, we’ve got the awesome Gundam Dunks in their white colorway.

And the third pair is all about social issues. Social Status’ Free Lunch Nike Dunk Mid is a nod to the free lunch and milkshakes that the government issues for underprivileged kids. The colorway we chose is Chocolate Milk, although the Strawberry Milk Dunks are awesome too! Fun fact: These Dunks aren’t highs nor exactly mids, and the silhouette is specifically made for this collab!

Some 2022 Rumors Won’t Hurt, Right?

How exciting! Who doesn’t like a little sneak peek into some potential 2022 Nike Dunk releases? Although 2021 had some nice pairs, the year wasn’t peak Dunk hype. So, will 2022 be the year we get the best Nike Dunks ever? Let’s check these babies out!

Union Dunks – Three’s the Charm

So at first we got two colorways and were pretty happy that we’re getting an iconic collab! But then, we saw a new colorway emerge, and we can’t say we’re sad about this at all. The sneakers all feature the same grid-like design along with flight-inspired packages. However, we’re getting three different colorways so far. First, we got a nice baby blue colorway, then blue with very very pale mint green. Now, the latest colorway comes in a mix of purple and pale yellow… and we’re loving it! As for release details, we can expect the pairs to drop during 2022. We’ll keep you updated when we know more.

Nike SB Dunk Polaroid

Who didn’t own the most famous instant camera at some point in their lives? This time, the colorful photography brand is coming to your kicks! The upper features a mix of black and white, a clear nod to the film before development. And then we have the tri-color swooshes the remind us of the company’s logo! So all in all, the collaboration is pretty clean, and we’ll totally keep it on our 2022 Dunk list.

Supreme Nike SB Dunk High By Any Means

We kinda got our hopes up that we’ll get these babies before the end of FW21. But alas, not all dreams come true, and we shall not dwell on that as Dumbledore would tell you. Anyway, we already covered these babies here, but since then, we got a new colorway leak! In addition to the black/white and navy/red colorways, we have a Brazil-inspired green and yellow colorway. Since 2022 is around the corner, let’s cross our fingers and hope we get the best Nike Dunks during SS22!

Nike SB Dunk Low Blue Raspberry

A stoned-looking raspberry on Nike SB Dunk Lows? That’s totally 4/20 release material the classic way that Nike got us used to! Anyway, the kicks are pretty lit even if they drop at any other time in 2022. The upper features two shades of blue suede, in addition to the blue raspberries we already mentioned inside the tongues.

Adidas Yeezy Boots – Every Silhouette We Have So Far!

Okay, so we’re gonna check out all the Yeezy boots we have so far under the Adidas x Yeezy partnership. However, we’d have more boots if we wanted to include the Yeezy season releases. So let’s stick to our favorite collaboration and check out all the boots we love or love to hate on!

Yeezy 750

So this was officially the first shoe that Kanye dropped after signing with Adidas. Although the 350s took the cake with their popularity, the 750s remain the cool babies. The first pair of 750s dropped back in February 2015, in a grey/white colorway. Other colorways that exist are light grey, triple black, and chocolate! They’re all worth a lot on the aftermarket today, so if you were one of the OGs, good on you because you own a piece of Yeezy history!

Yeezy 950 Duck Boots

The second boot on our list is also the second boot that Ye gave us in 2015. The 950s are the perfect mix of winter drip and protection! I mean, who doesn’t own a pair? These Yeezy boots dropped in October 2015, making them one of the first silhouettes too. The colorways you can find on the aftermarket are peyote, moon rock, pirate black, and chocolate! So if you’re looking for some winter kicks and willing to pay up, these are for you.

Yeezy Desert Boot

So these babies have a lil bit of story to them! They were initially a part of Yeezy Season 6 and 7 in 2018/19. However, 2019 came, and Adidas Yeezy Desert Boot became a part of the legacy! You can find them on the resale market in taupe blue, salt, oil, and rock. So if you’re looking for a combat-ready pair of boots, you got ‘em!

Yeezy 500 High

The ugly duckling. This silhouette is collectively hated by so, so many people! And we honestly got nothing to say, they’re not the prettiest flower in the garden. But you know how everything Yeezy just sells, and this one did that too! If you wanna do a Yeezy boots collection, you can find these in lots of colorways. You can probably also find some of them for under retail today!

Yeezy NSLTD BT

We already established the fact that 2021 went hard in terms of sneaker releases. But Yeezy boots also hit differently this year! And when we saw the NSLTD BT, we just couldn’t help the sarcasm. However, what Ye drops, everyone buys, and there we can find the genius of it all! But that’s not even the worst of Yeezy Boots. Because while we were busy with these, something else was cooking!

Yeezy KNIT RNR BT

Cute the NSLTD BT, glue it to the Knit Runner, and you got a new shoe! The KNIT RNR BT is just… weird, and that could be an understatement. Anyway, with some tweaks here and there, the kicks because winter ready! And you can find your own pair of KNIT RNR BTs on the resale market for around $500. Yeezy 1050! The New Boot You Need in Your Rotation

We can’t have a December without getting another boot, can we? But these Yeezy Boots are kinda different because they’re gonna remind us of the epic Donda listening parties! Team switches happen all the time, even basketball greats like Michael Jordan and LeBron James did it! Kobe Bryant though, aka Black Mamba, had an impressive 20-year (1996- 2016) basketball career with only one team: the Los Angeles Lakers. But, his jersey number actually changed. 1996 through 2006, he sported the number 8. And by the start of the 2006-07 season, his Lakers jersey number became 24!

With a 20-year-old NBA career, Kobe Bryant holds impressive stat numbers. The most impressive number is the 81 points he scored in 2006 against the Toronto Raptors. To this day, it’s the second-highest number of points scored in NBA history, with Wilt Chamberlain leading the list at 100 points!

From December 2014 until January 2020 season, the Black Mamba held the 3rd position of highest all-time scorers with a total of 33,643 points! This January, LeBron James, surpassed his ex-teammate and pushed him one position lower on the list.

Achievements

Kobe Bryant has a long list of achievements that will take a lot of time to count. That’s why we’re just mentioning some of them. 

In addition to all of the on-court achievements, his short film “Dear Basketball” won the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film in 2017 and made Kobe Bryant the first professional athlete to win an Oscar! Finally, the Black Mamba will be inducted to the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame as part of the class of 2020. 

Kobe Bryant: The Philanthropist

Now let’s move on to the charity work. Kobe Bryant spread the Mamba Mentality as far and wide as he could, and more. He was actually a contributor at many charities like the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, After-School All-Stars and Aid Still Required.
He also founded, with his wife Vanessa, the Kobe and Vanessa Bryant Family Foundation. This foundation’s aim is to help the homeless and the youth. 

Previous Endorsements

The Black Mamba collaborated with many companies like Coca-Cola, McDonald’s, Spalding, Nutella, and Nintendo. He also partnered up with Adidas and released one of the ugliest sneakers ever: The Kobe One.

The Nike x Kobe Bryant collaboration

After ending the contract with Adidas, Nike secured a deal for $40 million with the Black Mamba in 2003. This collaboration resulted in 13 new silhouettes of basketball sneakers. The kicks were affordable and popular. And in 2019, the most popular kicks were the Kobe Protro 4 Draft Day Hornets with 1,781 sales. They’re priceless!

Under normal circumstances, this section would be discussing the resale value and price premium of the kicks. However, after Kobe Bryant’s passing along with his daughter Gianna and 7 others, we’re not going to do it. Why? Because out of respect and love for the game, we won’t encourage reselling the kicks.

Resellers that are just in it for the money raised the prices for the profit right after the sudden death of the Black Mamba. That’s why Nike removed all the Kobe merch from their websites and some consignment stores stopped selling them for the time being. After all, it’s wrong to profit off somebody else’s death.

Goodbye Black Mamba

It’s always hard to say goodbye. Especially to somebody who had an immeasurable impact on millions of people around the world. However, the Mamba mentality that Kobe spread will always stay in our hearts. Basically, the increasing stock level is resulting in low resale value. In turn, resellers aren’t too hyped about the Yeezys as before. Now the fans who actually want to wear their Yeezys will crawl out from their cave of despair, where they’d lost hope of ever copping Yeezys at retail.

Kanye’s proving that he’s a man of his word. Yeezys for all! Universal accessibility! We got love! He doesn’t care about the low resale value. To him, more stock equals more sales equals more money in his pocket.

But does that mean he will increase the production on every single one of his silhouettes? Not in our opinion.

New Yeezy Silhouettes On The Horizon

By now, we are all aware of the array of new Yeezys due to be produced by Adidas and Yeezy Supply. Based on the image shared by Kanye West himself, we should expect around 7 new silhouettes to drop in 2019.

While they’re just roughly sketched out, the new Yeezys will consist of those listed and described below.

• The Yeezy 700 V2 Static hasn’t dropped and yet we have news of the upcoming 700 V3 (sample in the photo):

• A new freakishly bulky silhouette, the Yeezy 451:

• A new version Desert Rat, Yeezy 500 V2. No images have been leaked yet.
• The Yeezy Boost 350 V3, which -some people are speculating- look like this:

• Yeezy will get into basketball with this silhouette which has spent 3 years in the making. Now we don’t think that something of that much effort wouldn’t get overproduced.

What does this mean for Yeezy resale prices?

Well, with such a large number of silhouettes coming, there’s only so much stock that could be produced that we highly doubt that there will be a very high production on each Yeezy silhouette. That means some of these kicks will flop, while others you’ll flip.

You need to keep an eye out

If you want to go into the sneaker reselling game, you will need to keep your eyes out for stock number predictions and leaks. If one Yeezy release doesn’t work for you, that doesn’t mean the next can’t!

Word is in that the Nike Off White Zoom Fly will drop in two colorways, the Black pair and the Pink one. Last year, Virgil and Nike dropped a White pair that came with Black detailing. This time, there will not only be a Black pair with White detailing, but also a Pink one.

You can’t miss the huge text that reads “FOAM” on the sole, highlighting the resilient cushioning material that makes the Zoom Fly what it is. To complete the look on translucent uppers, rubber outsoles, and Lunarlon cushioning technology, are light blue trademark zip ties attached to the laces on each pair.

According to @py_rates, both of these colorways of the Nike Off White Zoom Fly SP will drop on Wednesday, November 28, 2018.

Off White Converse Chuck 70

The ultra-clean Off White Converse Chuck 70 is true to original Chuch Taylor silhouettes. As you can see, Virgil takes a shift away from the see-through, translucent shoe trend. Instead, he honors the traditional vibe of the decades-old sneaker design while adding his signature Off White touch.

This time, instead of the “VULCANIZED” branding on the midsole, there’s something else. The most ‘out there’ design is the boldly striped midsole and bright orange outsole bottom.

Of course, a matching orange zip-tie is on the shoe accordingly. On the insoles is the Off White arrow logo. On the medial section of the shoe is, of course, the typical address text.

Finally, you can’t have an Off White sneaker collab without the signature “SHOE LACES” branding written on the tips of the laces.

Because of the rubber toe cap, Converse might as well be the best sneaker for skateboarding. It’s no surprise that it will be a popular shoe to cop by many skate fans and followers of the Supreme brand.
