2021 is a blink of an eye away from us, and with it come the new sneakers. 2020 definitely had some pretty amazing releases. Actually, it’s pretty hard to top some of this year’s drops, but brands can try, and they will surely deliver. So let’s check out some of 2021’s best sneakers that we know of. We’ll also dedicate a section for kicks that fall under the “rumor” section! Whether you’re a Yeezy, Dunk, or Jordan fan, we’ve got something for you. And if you wanna wrap the year in an interesting way, we’ve got the thing for you. Here are the worst events that went down in the sneaker industry this year!

Best Sneakers 2021

Best Sneakers Dropping in 2021

Although it’s still too early to be certain of the sneaker drops, we’ll discuss the most likely ones. These are the best sneakers that will get us lining up (virtually) to cop, flex, and probably flip.

Yeezy “Ash” Collection

Although this year’s main focus was Yeezy 380, 2021 will be a comeback to the 50 shades of Yeezy 350. First of all, we’ve got “Ash Stone” which features an earthy Primeknit upper. The only thing making it different than Yeezy Sand and Earth is the orange translucent stripe!

Best Sneakers 2021 - Yeezy Ash Pack

Next on the list, we’ve got Yeezy “Ash Blue”. And as the name suggests, the kicks feature different shades of blue on the upper. The yellow stripe breaks the monotony and gives the kicks an awesome appearance. It kinda gives a darker Yeezy Israfil vibe, if you know what we mean.

Finally, we go back to plain whites and creams with the new Yeezy “Ash Pearl”. The white and cream Primeknit brings back memories of all the white Yeezys we love. All these kicks are scheduled to drop in SS21, so not really long from now!

We Got Some University Blues…

Air Jordan is always ahead of the game with their sneaker reveals. The brand dropped the news in November 2020, and two pairs really caught our attention. The two pairs dress in a well-loved colorway. University Blue is the color that reminds us of where Michael Jordan came from: The University of North Carolina! Luckily, we’ll be having a new Air Jordan 1 and Jordan 4 in the same colorway. The University Blue Jordan 4 will also feature a cement-like grey midsole that adds just enough flair to the kicks!

Best Sneakers 2021 - Jordan 1 Uni Blue

Air Jordan 1 University Blue will be available in Men’s and GS sizes. It will drop on February 20, 2021, for $170. Meanwhile, Jordan 4 University Blue will drop the following month, on March 6, 2021, so now is a great time to start saving up for the new sneaker resolutions!

Best Sneakers 2021 - Jordan 4 Uni Blue

Supreme Nike SB Dunk Low

2003’s Supreme Dunk Highs are still relevant today. In fact, they’re worth thousands of dollars on the aftermarket because they’re some of the best sneakers out there. And back then, a low-top version of the kicks was canceled due to legal issues. In 2021, almost 18 years later, the kicks will comeback in a low-top, but with no legalities! The same golden stars will be on the side panels to give us the cool Supreme vibes. Finally, the available colorways will be black, brown, blue, and green! And it seems like we’ll have to wait for the 2021 seasons for actual release dates.

CLOT x Nike Air Max 1 “Kiss of Death”

So, 2020 and 2021 really are the years we go back to the oldies, aren’t they? The CLOT and Nike collabs went on everybody’s radar when they did the AF1s. However, these were not the first releases. In fact, the Kiss of Death Air Max 1 is one of the earlier collabs between the two companies. The 2006 design is inspired by the Chinese art of pressure points. Although the name “Kiss of Death” is a pretty grim idea, the kicks are definitely very popular. They’re actually worth $1,500+ on the aftermarket! In 2021, CLOT and Nike are celebrating this pair’s 15th anniversary by dropping it once again. So make sure you follow this pair closely, it’ll be worth it.

Nike SB Dunk Low Club 58

Nike Dunk seems like it will extend its reign through 2020! How? Definitely thanks to some new colorways and drops. The Club 58 Dunks feature an awesome blue suede upper and an equally popping orange outsole. Now we still don’t know the origin of the “58” we can see on the heel and tongue, but there are theories. The first theory is that 58 is the numerical equivalent of SB. The second one is that 58 is the number of skaters and designers who worked on it. We personally would go for the first one though. Anyway! We can expect these kicks to drop in early 2021 according to leak accounts!

Sneaker Rumors

Just like we know what sneakers are dropping, we love us some juicy sneaker rumors. And honestly, the best sneakers usually start out as rumors. So let’s see what gossip 2021 holds for us!

Air Jordan 1 x Trophy Room

Trophy Room is Marcus Jordan’s store, and it’s like stepping into MJ’s actual trophy room. In fact, it was the actual inspiration for the business. Trophy Room and Jordan Brand collaborated on different occasions. And one of the most famous collabs is the friends and family red Jordan 4. So this year, a new Jordan 1 collaboration might be happening. If true, the kicks will feature the OG red and white colorway along with MJ’s signature. So we’ll just wait and see!

Best Sneakers 2021 - Jordan 1 Trophy Room

Off-White x Jordan 4 Bred

Will Virgil Abloh strike again with a new Jordan collab? Although we saw the Bred 4s in his Figures of Speech exhibition, we can’t know if they’ll actually drop. We still remember the canary yellow Jordan 1 disappointment. Nevertheless, the kicks feature the OG Bred colorway with Abloh’s touches. In other words, he slapped the Off-White tag and “AIR” branding on there, with a bit of see-through material.

Best Sneakers 2021 - Off White Jordan 4 Bred

Supreme Air Force 1 Flax

Here we are, back at it with Supreme kicks! Rumor has it that Supreme will feature a Flax-colored edition of the monochromatic Air Force 1. This time, they’re dropping the leather in favor of suede! The Supreme Bogo will also be on the heel as usual. So if this pair becomes more than a rumor, we’ll definitely be running NSB and going for the cop.

Best Sneakers 2021 - Supreme Air Force 1 Flax

Travis Scott AJ6 British Khaki

Now that one is a long shot, but we’ll definitely keep our fingers crossed! Travis “accidentally” showed off the kicks back in April during a live story. And according to leak accounts, the Houston rapper is cooking up something with Nike! So will Travis’ latest collab be the Khaki colored 6s? Some fans are still bitter about the olive Jordan 6, so this could be a cool second chance! But definitely not without a sneaker bot.

Best Sneakers 2021 - Travis Scott AJ6 British Khaki

Yeezy 450

It’s on our list every year since 2018, but 2021 might be it! The dumpling-like sneakers will maybe drop in February 2021, and maybe they won’t. So we won’t get our hope up. However, if they do, the first colorway will come in a sail colorway and under the name “Nuriel”. However, the name is debatable, since Kanye dropped the religious Yeezy names. And this one literally translates to “Fire of the Lord”, so we’ll see about that!

NSB’s With You Through Rumors and Facts!

Although we’re not entirely sure that every one of these releases is actually gonna happen, we can only hope! And either way, you should make sure that you’ve got the best all-in-one bot out there. Otherwise, many of the very hype releases will probably turn out to be a huge L. So let’s hope for a better year and better odds at cooking kicks the right way!

It’s Halloween week, but don’t let that fool you! In addition to many spooky releases, we’ve got some hype to deliver. Although last week’s releases were pretty hot, this week is presenting some challenges! From Supreme TNF and Freddy Krueger to a new Yeezy 380 and Air Jordan 1, we barely have time to breathe! So let’s check out this week’s release lineup, and choose our favorites among them.

Supreme TNF new yeezy 380

Supreme TNF Goes All-In with the Branding!

The North Face is a recurring collaborator with Supreme NY. However, this week’s Supreme TNF collection is minimalistic yet in your face! The designs in themselves are pretty simple with a humongous “S Logo” on all of them. The new collab is everything you need to go camping and fight the elements! So make sure you don’t miss it this Thursday, October 29, 2020.

Air Jordan 35 Fragment

Although the first two parts of the collaboration already dropped, Jordan Brand and Hiroshi Fujiwara kept the best for last. What better way to kickstart the 35th silhouette than a hype collab? And if we’re honest, the blue and black colorway definitely suits the silhouette. The kicks are set to drop on October 28, 2020, for a retail price of $195. We can half-expect these kicks to sell out pretty fast and resell for some good cash. In fact, you can find the kicks on the aftermarket for as much as $699!

Air Force 1 Orange Skeleton

Yeeheehee! Embrace the Halloween spirit with the upcoming Air Force 1 Orange Skeleton. It’s becoming a yearly tradition for Nike to drop the skeletal Air Force 1s. In fact, this is the third year we get them after the white and black iterations of 2018 and 2019. The kicks feature an orange leather upper with a FULL glow-in-the-dark sole unit. So it’s not just the outsole this year! Finally, the usual skeletal foot is ever-present on the side and the insoles. The jack-o-lantern-colored kicks are set to drop on October 28, 2020, for $130! You can find the orange skeleton on resale platforms for an average of $250.

Off White Jordan 5 Sail

The only release that could compete with the new Yeezy 380 and the Supreme TNF collab. After months of teasing and leaks, we’re finally ready for the new take on the Fire Red 5s! Naturally, Virgil Abloh is giving us his own rendition of the kicks, and we ain’t complaining at all. Instead of the white upper, we’re going for sail with customizable punch-in circles. So you can cut them up and show off the cool socks you’re wearing! The upcoming Off White Jordan 5 Sail will drop on October 29, 2020, and will retail for $225. And if you miss out on this release, you’ll have to cough up around $900 in resale!

Air Max 95 “Freddy Krueger”

Now, on to a gory aspect of Halloween, the horror movie-inspired sneakers are sure gonna give us spooks. We all know Freddy’s outfit and looks, who hasn’t worn his costume at some point? And today, Nike is giving the villain their best tribute with the new Air Max 95 colorway. However, it’s probably not named after Freddy Krueger because we all remember the Freddy Dunks! The potential release date of the kicks is October 30, 2020, but it’s not official yet. The kicks might be very exclusive, and it feels like it since they’re reselling for $2,000!

Slam Jam Nike Dunk High

Who knew black and white could look so alive? After 10 months of Dunk revival, 2020 is giving us new Dunk Highs in partnership with the Italian Slam Jam. With an upside-down Nike logo on the tongue and translucent midsoles, the kicks are a yes from us! Moreover, The Slam Jam logo is right on the heels. An interesting addition to the kicks is the gummy swoosh logo and B&W laces! The kicks will release on October 30, 2020, for $120. Still in doubt whether you should cop or not? Then you better check out the resale value of $700!

Yeezy 380 Calcite Glow

The new Yeezy 380 Glow is definitely one of the pairs we’re looking forward to. Although it doesn’t look like much at first glance, there’s a lot more than meets the eye! The white primeknit upper and Boost midsole go all neonish once you turn off the lights. So we may as well call October “The White Yeezy Season”! Make sure you don’t miss out on this release with NSB, after all, it’s proving to be successful release after release. After all, it ate up Yeezy Natural like a snack! The new Yeezy 380 will drop on October 30, 2020, for $230, $10 more expensive than our favorite 350s! On the other hand, the kicks currently resell for around $350, and that’s some pretty good cash if you’re buying in bulk.

Jordan 1 Mocha

Last, but definitely not least, Air Jordan 1 Mocha is finally coming on Halloween. We’d be lying if we said we ain’t excited about the release! You can find all the release details here, but we’ll recap the important info for you. The kicks will drop on October 31, 2020, and will retail for $170. The kicks are absolutely awesome, which explains the resale value of $400!

With a blink of an eye, it’s already Q4 of 2020, and that calls for the best sneaker releases recap! So much already went down that we had to remind you of this year’s best sneaker releases. Although some of them remind us of the Ls, others were a big W. Especially for NSB users! Let’s see what the best sneakers of 2020 were, and see which one of these you own.

Disclaimer: We listed the best kicks of 2020 according to their release dates.

2020’s Best Sneaker Releases

Here you’re going to find the most hyped sneakers of 2020 to date. You probably already know that, but some number$ won’t hurt!

Nike Dunk Plum

A pair that took us back to 2001! The Nike Dunk Plum was part of the Ugly Duckling pack, but this time it came back alone. However, that didn’t stop it from being one of the best sneakers of 2020! Naturally, when the kicks dropped on February 7, 2020, they were pretty exclusive. But with the help of NSB, our users got their heart’s plummish desire to own this pair. If you didn’t though, you can get it off the secondary market for about $600!

Nike Dunk SB Strangelove “Valentine’s Day”

Valentine’s Day in 2020 was like no other! Nike decided to do a romantic gesture and dropped the pink and red collab with Strangelove Skateboards. Although the brand canceled the online drop and the stock was low, NSB managed to snag pairs for its users! The kicks then dropped at select retailed and Nike SNKRS on February 8, 2020, in a regular and special box. The regulars resell for about $1,500, while the special box goes for $2,200.

Off White x Jordan 5

A pair of kicks that generated so much controversy. People were split between feeling the hype and hating on it. But love it or hate it, the kicks sold out very fast. They were only available on the Nike and Off-White websites. The Off White Jordan 5 might not be the best sneakers in 2020 revenue-wise, but the hype was real! They dropped on February 15, 2020, and currently resell for up to $1,500! The new sail colorway of this pair will probably be more popular, and you can find out why here!

Best sneaker releases 2020 - OFF White air jordan 5

Travis Scott Nike SB Dunk

A Dunk by the Astrowold artist, what more can we ask for? Travis teased this collaboration in so many ways. First, we saw a glimpse of it in his music video. Second, we saw them on lowkey marketing posts on his personal Instagram account! But his collabs honestly don’t need any marketing because the hype is built in! Crowds immediately went wild over this pair. And as usual, they were pretty limited and extremely hard to cop!

Best sneakers 2020 - Travis Scott nike sb dunk

The kicks dropped on February 22 and 29 2020, in a special and regular box respectively. And they’re easily some of the best sneaker releases this year. Both drops were hard because the regular box drop was exclusive to select Nike SB retailers. Meanwhile, the special box was an exclusive raffle on Travis Scott’s website! They currently resell for an average of about $2,500 (special) and $2,000 (regular).

Air Dior High & Low

Easily the pair of the year, and on the top 10 list of the most expensive kicks of the decade. A high-end pair of sneakers sure got us all going WOW. The release was a pretty difficult procedure that included a raffle and in-store pickup and safety measures. And we shouldn’t forget a pocket full of money because they retailed for $2,000! The kicks officially dropped on April 6, 2020, and currently resell for starting prices of $7,740 (high) and $5,919 (low).

Travis Scott Air Max 270 “Cactus Trails”

Another Cactus Jack product. This time, the marketing campaign was extremely cool and we had to cop because they looked so good! NSB made sure we could flex this release, and flip it. Travis’ Air Max 270 dropped on April 10, 2020, and it currently resells for around $500! And if you flipped multiple pairs, it’s cash cash baby!

Air Jordan 1 Royal Toe

This is one of the best sneakers releases in 2020 that holds so much nostalgia and street culture that we couldn’t not cop! And NSB totally smashed this release back on May 9, 2020. You can read about this pair here to know why we love it. Today, you can buy the royal toes for $450!

best sneaker releases 2020 - Air Jordan 1 Royal Toe

Jordan 13 Flint

Now, this is one of 2020’s best sneakers, not for resale, and not for nostalgia (although it does give us the vibe). It’s actually what went down with this release that put it in this place of honor. The sneaker industry was initially going to sleep on this release. However, the winds changed direction and the sneakers sold out in a matter of minutes! That was probably due to the Jordan popularity surge thanks to The Last Dance. Although the brand doesn’t need a boost, it was a welcome move nonetheless!

best sneakers 2020 - jordan 13 flint

Jordan 13 Flint officially released on May 30, 2020. The good news though? NSB copped thousands of pairs for its users! We’re talking about OVER 4500 PAIRS! Today, you can find the kicks on resale platforms for an average of $400!

We’re Not Done with the Best Sneakers Yet!

2020 still has 3 months to go, and that’s plenty of time for you to get NSB and profit. Our users have made in the last few months only, several million dollars of profit! So why wait? Join the NSB fam today, the October releases won’t wait forever!

This is not your usual blog post, friends. Today, we’re discussing the legacy that started back in 1984 and is still going on, almost 4 decades later. The rookie with a bright future in the NBA became one of the biggest ballers and sneaker brand owners on and off the basketball court. Michael Jordan definitely left a mark on everyone’s hearts and memories. So let’s get down to business, and check out everything there is to know about the history of the Air Jordan line!

Michael “Air” Jordan

Michael Jeffrey Jordan was born in Brooklyn New York in 1963. He was an athletic kid and grew up earning a basketball scholarship at different universities. He went for the UNC basketball scholarship where his career took off. In 1984, Jordan made it to the NBA draft and was the 3rd overall pick made by the Chicago Bulls. His high athleticism earned him the nicknames “Air Jordan” and “His Airness” among many others. However, as important as he was on the hardwood floor, Jordan bypassed the court and became a cultural icon. He still stands as the debate subject of whether he or LeBron James is the GOAT. And that’s whether you were a Bull or not!

Basketball Career

If you were doing your homework after watching “The Last Dance” on Netflix, you’d know that during Jordan’s playing years, the Chicago Bulls won a double three-peat! The first three-peat happened in the 1991 – 1993 seasons. After winning the 1992 – 1993 season, Jordan went into retirement but came back less than 2 years later.
Upon returning, the Chicago Bulls managed to hit another three-peat during the 1995 – 1998 seasons. Due to management tension and differences, 1998 was Phil Jackson’s last year coaching the Bulls. But Jordan would play for nobody else, and his second retirement ensued.

air jordan timeline

After his second retirement, Michael Jordan became the president of basketball operations for the Washington Wizards in 2000. However, in late 2001 he came back again from his retirement to play for the Wizards. Finally, Jordan retired for the third and final time in 2003 and the age of 41. Today, many years after his final retirement, Air Jordan is still leaving a print in every basketball fan and sneakerhead’s heart.

How Did the Air Jordan Collaboration Start?Air Jordan Nike

We can’t really separate Jordan’s basketball career from the deal with Nike. However, we’ll focus on the business side of things here.

As a rookie, Jordan initially wanted to sign with Adidas and didn’t even want to be with Nike because he didn’t like their shoes. He preferred kicks that were closer to the ground, Nike’s were high in his opinion.

However, Adidas declined the offer because they “couldn’t make a shoe work”. Converse didn’t think they needed a rookie when they had major deals with stars like Magic Johnson and Larry Bird.

Nike was eager for a basketball endorsement, mainly because, back then, it had a reputation for being a track shoe company.

So after taking his parents’ advice and visiting Nike’s headquarters, Jordan was offered a $500,000/5 years deal with his own shoe line: the Air Jordan! According to Jordan, his father told him that he’d be a fool not to take this deal. MJ ended up signing that deal, and the rest is history!

Nike expected the Air Jordan 1 to bring in a revenue of around $3 million in the first four years. But Jordan Brand, just like its namesake, brought in $126 million the first year alone!

The company went from being the underdog in the basketball industry to dominating 68.3% of the shoes worn in the NBA in 2020! And that’s partly thanks to the 1984 Jordan collaboration.

The Silhouettes

Air Jordan I: Where It All Started

Now here is an interesting story. In 1985, Michael Jordan was a rookie with a bright future in the NBA. So Nike gave him kicks fit for a star, which ultimately the NBA banned and fined Jordan $5,000 for wearing them. That’s the story we know though. But the truth is, the NBA banned a similar “bred” pair: the Nike Air Ship! However, Nike and Jordan Brand won’t admit it.. but we know. And we’re just waiting for the day when the OG Nike Air Ship will be up for auction. Will it top Jordan’s game-worn half-million AJ1s? Air Jordan 1 currently exists in high, mid, and low cuts.

Air Jordan 1

Air Jordan II

The second installment of Air Jordan kicks was dubbed the “Italian Stallion”. The kicks were made in Italy with faux lizard skin. The silhouette was Bruce Kilgore’s last design with Peter Moore, the OG Jordan 1 designer. To those who don’t know him, Kilgore is the mind behind the iconic Air Force 1. The kicks dropped in a high and low cut. After losing the OG molds (or being stolen, rumors went wild there), Jordan Brand managed to find one of the molds and retroed the kicks for the first time in 2004!

Air Jordan 2

Air Jordan III

The first-ever Jordan design by Tinker Hatfield. He eventually ended up designing 21 out of the 34 Jordan silhouettes! Actually, a lot of firsts took place with this shoe. The Jumpman logo made its first appearance on the tongue along with the elephant print which became a symbol of the Jordan 3s.

Air Jordan 3

Air Jordan IV

Michael Jordan took “The Shot” wearing the 4s and helped the Chicago Bulls win the playoffs against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The kicks also made their appearance in Spike Lee’s movie “Do the Right Thing”. The wings gave people the ability to lace the kicks in a lot of different ways.

Air Jordan 4

Air Jordan V

Tinker Hatfield took the word “Attack” to boot with this silhouette. MJ’s playstyle inspired Hatfield to design kicks as ferocious as the wearer. The shark-teeth design on the midsole is a clear giveaway!

Air Jordan 5

Air Jordan VI

Jordan’s first NBA Championship title and the Air Jordan 6 go hand in hand. And we all know that everything about MJ is inspiring, even his sports car, which was the inspo behind the kicks. The AJ6 introduced the car spoiler-looking heel tab, to make wearing the kicks easier.

Air Jordan 6

Air Jordan VII

The “Dream Team” nailed the 1992 Barcelona Olympics that year. And that called for a new pair of kicks! The colorful Air Jordan 7 was the first pair of Jordans to be marketed independently from Nike basketball!

Air Jordan 7

Air Jordan VIII

The last pair of kicks that Michael Jordan wore before his first retirement. He was also wearing these shoes when the Chicago Bulls claimed their place among the big boys! They were the third team in the history of the game to manage to win three titles back to back.

Air Jordan 8

Air Jordan IX

After his first retirement, MJ went on to the baseball Minor League and played for the White Sox. Jerry Reinsdorf, the owner of the Bulls, also owned the White Sox and kept Jordan’s deal running although he wasn’t playing basketball. However, the kicks kept on coming and we got the brand-new Air Jordan 9.

Air Jordan 9

Air Jordan X

Tinker Hatfield designed this silhouette during MJ’s retirement. The kicks from collar to sole were a tribute to Jordan’s relatively short career. But Michael Jordan ended up wearing this pair when “he was back” in the 1994-95 season.

Air Jordan 10

Air Jordan XI

This is maybe one of the most elegant pairs of Air Jordans. With Jordan back on the court ready to win his fourth ring, the kicks and their patent leather were eye-catching. AJ11 is still a favorite among sneakerheads everywhere.

Air Jordan 11

Air Jordan XII

Michael Jordan made history in the 1996-97 season. He took his team to win their fifth title and start prepping up for a second three-peat! The build of this pair is just ahead of its time and was also elegant enough to be worn on and off the court.

Air Jordan 12

Air Jordan XIII

The silhouette that took Jordan’s nickname “Black Cat” to boot! Tinker Hatfield designed this pair with the intention of making a physical interpretation of MJ’s stealth and speed. The added bonus of this pair is that MJ wore them during the 1997-98 season on their way to snatch their sixth title!

Air Jordan 13

Air Jordan XIV

Or as we would like to call it, “The Last One”. It’s actually the last pair of kicks that Jordan wore during his time with the Chicago Bulls. Tinker Hatfield asked MJ to not wear the sample kicks, but he couldn’t resist their look! So just as Jordan managed to earn the legend title, he made the silhouette legendary. It’s worth noting that this silhouette is one of the most comfortable Jordans ever.

Air Jordan 14

Air Jordan XV

Jordan retires, again. However, Air Jordan is far from doing that. This silhouette took the Air Jordan line in a new direction without earning any playtime on MJ’s feet. It actually paid tribute to the X-15 fighter jet, the world’s fastest manned aircraft. Jordan’s protruding tongue when he went for the dunk also made it to the actual tongue of the kicks! Moreover, the kicks featured a Kevlar fiber upper. Kevlar is a strong heat-resistant fiber, that provides high performance and protection.

Air Jordan 15

Air Jordan XVI

With the new Millennium, new designs emerge. For more than a decade, that was the first time someone other than Tinker Hatfield designed an Air Jordan. Wilson Smith decided to merge business life and ball life together since Jordan went on to pursue an office position with the Washington Wizards. The magnetic shroud on the Air Jordan 16 gave the kicks a formal look while removing it would make you ready for an after-work game with friends!

Air Jordan 16

Air Jordan XVII

The return of the legend to the game once again required a new pair of kicks. And that’s how AJ 17 came to life. The inspiration behind this pair was Jordan’s improvisation skills, his love for Jazz, and his Aston Martin. Because why not? It was the most expensive Jordan release. But then again, how many times will we get a metal briefcase and a CD-Rom with the kicks?

Air Jordan 17

Air Jordan XVIII

On April 16, 2003, Jordan gave his last performance and retired for good. Air Jordan 18 was the last pair to make it to the court on His Airness’s feet. I was another sports car-inspired pair of sneakers. The OG AJ 18 “Black Royal” colorway came with a driver’s manual, a brush, and a towel.

Air Jordan 18

Air Jordan XIX

A design fit for flight. Before Kobe Bryant adopted the Black Mamba nickname, the poisonous snake was the muse behind the Air Jordan 19. The Tech-Flex upper made its first appearance on this silhouette to provide added flexibility to the wearer.

Air Jordan 19

Air Jordan XX

With Tinker Hatfield back at the helm, he and Jordan were planning something special! To celebrate 20 years of amazing shoes and a legendary brand. The icons we can see on the upper tell the story of Michael Jordan’s legendary career. Moreover, 69 dots on the midsole are a tribute to MJ’s high score game.

Air Jordan 20

Air Jordan XXI

A sneaker that’s worthy of special agents! At first glance, the kicks look like any other basketball shoe. However, upon closer inspection, we can see the premium leather and carbon fiber that make up the kicks. The most intriguing bit about this pair of kicks is the hidden message that shows up only under black light!

Air Jordan 21

Air Jordan XX2

Gone the days of the “fight or flight” mode. Air Jordan 22 screamed fight and flight! The silhouette took inspiration from the F-22 Raptor fighter jet. The radar-like zig-zag stitching on the side mimics the plane’s ability to deflect being discovered. The kicks featured the first titanium shank plate. (PS: Titanium’s atomic number is 22!)

Air Jordan 22

Air Jordan XX3

The 23rd kicks materialized a legend’s DNA for the legacy’s 23rd year! So many details make this pair a treasure to own. The stitching is shaped like DNA, MJ’s own fingerprint is on the inside of the tongue and the outsole. Finally, we can find his autograph on the toe of the kicks. The extra bonus is the fact that Air Jordan 23 is the world’s first sustainable basketball shoe.

Air Jordan 23

Air Jordan 2009

The first pair of sneakers to use the release year as a name. The upper of Air Jordan 2009 looks like a fencing uniform if you look at it closely. Why? Because Michel Jordan believes that one-on-one defense is pretty much like fencing! It is also the second Jordan to be part of the Considered Design.

Air Jordan 24 (2009)

Air Jordan 2010

The transparent TPU circular panels on the 24th installation of Air jordans are a nod to MJ’s power to see through opponents. Now we can see where Virgil Abloh got his Air Jordan 5 inspo from! The midsole hides Jordan’s famous quote: “I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”

Air Jordan 25 (2010)

Air Jordan 2011

This is the closest we could get to customizable Jordans. The AJ 2011 featured interchangeable midsoles: blue Zoom Air Units for quickness and red Air Unit for explosive play. Each player can choose the midsole depending on their way of playing. According to the designers, that’s similar to selecting your weapon of choice before the battle.

Air Jordan 26 (2011)

Air Jordan 2012

Well, zoot suits came back in 2012 in the shape of a pair of Air Jordans. However, the inside of the kicks features three different midsole options: “Quick”, “Air”, or “Explosive”. The player has the freedom to make the shoe that fits their game!

Air Jordan 27

Air Jordan XX8

“Never judge a book by its cover.” This saying fits the 28th installation of Air Jordans. Underneath a zip-up boot-like casing, sits a lightweight responsive shoe. Tinker Hatfield said that the aim was to change the way basketball kicks look and perform.

Air Jordan 28

Air Jordan XX9

With a 100% woven upper, the Air Jordan 29 was even lighter than its predecessors. With a redesigned Flight Plate that connects the forefoot and heel, the kicks were taking basketball shoes to a new level of responsiveness and cushioning.

Air Jordan 29

Air Jordan XXX

The genius of Tinker Hatfield is the gift that keeps on giving. The upper of the pair number 30 transforms the “XXX” into a basketball net. The stars were a nod to MJ’s otherworldly talents because he is the first and foremost source of inspiration for the sneakers. Finally, the tongues featured the African and North American continents.

Air Jordan 30

Air Jordan XXXI

This silhouette is plain and simple a modern take on the OG of the OGs, Air Jordan I. The Jordan Wings logo is there, but so are the swoosh and the Jumpman! The sole tributes the first AJI Bred colorway with “BANNED” written on it. And just when we thought basketball couldn’t get any lighter, Air Jordan 30 flips the table over!

Air Jordan 31

Air Jordan XXXII

Another tribute to OG Air Jordans, but this time, it’s the legendary Air Jordan II. However, despite being inspired by AJ2, the kicks feature an innovative design and modern technology. Designer Tate Kuerbis managed to merge premium materials with performance. So when you wear AJ32, you not only look good but you feel it too! The kicks dropped in both high and low cuts.

Air Jordan 32

Air Jordan XXXIII

The 33rd pair of Jordans took flight literally with the silhouette borrowing details from space flight suits. A FlightSpeed Plate and Zoom Air Unit provide the propulsion every baller needs when they take off for that dunk. Meanwhile. The FastFit system gives the wearer the ultimate support. Talk about innovation!

Air Jordan 33

Air Jordan XXXIV

The last, but definitely not least, pair on our list. AJ34 took everything from the 33 previous models and molded them into the ultimate control, responsiveness, and lightness! With visible Zoom Air technology (which is a first), the kicks help athletes to fly high while keeping their stability.

Air Jordan 34

Air Jordan XXXV

2020 was a lot of things, but definitely not boring. With everyone’s lives flipped upside down thanks to Covid and quarantine, the sneaker industry was booming. People who had extra time and money decided to invest that cash in different places, and the sneaker industry was a great option. And despite all the delays and technicalities, Jordan Brand managed to launch the Air Jordan 35. In addition to modern tech, JB took inspiration from the AJ5 in details like the tongue! So all in all, the kicks were a cool mashup of the past and present.

air jordan 35 NSB

Air Jordan XXXVI

With 2020 coming and going, another Air Jordan silhouette made its debut in 2021. The 36s didn’t fall too far from the 35s if we’re completely honest. Besides the little technical improvements like the new Eclipse 3.0 plate, the silhouettes are very identical to each other. The silhouette also includes details that we’ve previously seen in Russel Westbrook’s sneakers! Finally, there’s a nod to the Jordan 6, like the heel and lace covers.

Jordan 36 NSB

Air Jordan XXXVII

The freshest sneakers so far! Although the previous silhouettes were impressive in terms of sneaker tech, the kicks looked pretty similar. However, the Air Jordan 37 broke away from the previous silhouettes and brought its own flair to the game! From the upper to the geometrical details, the silhouette is obviously a modern take on the Jordan 7. And guess what – the carbon shank made a comeback with these babies, which is the first time it does since the AJ32. So, all in all, the sneakers are a successful mix of speed and flight!

Best Jordan Sneakers Backstories

Air Jordan 12 “Flu Game”

Air Jordan backstories

Words don’t make you the best in the game, actions do. That’s what we learned from Jordan the day he played his match while fighting flu-like symptoms on June 11, 1997. Jordan managed to drop 38 points on Utah Jazz and lead the series 3 -2. However, by the end of the game, he was so exhausted that he ended up being helped out of the court by Scottie Pippen. The kicks dropped again in 2003, 2009, and 2016. The “Flu Game” 12 is also one of the best red Jordans to exist!

Air Jordan 1 “Shattered Backboard”

We all know that Shaquille O’Neal has the reputation of being the backboard breaker, but Jordan had his share of a shattered backboard! In 1986, during an exhibition game in Italy, Jordan delivered a dunk so powerful it shattered the backboard. Glass shards rained over the players and an Air Jordan colorway was born years later! The black and orange are actually the color of the uniform His Airness was wearing. For detailed info about the kicks, click here.

Air Jordan 1 “Royal Blue”

A colorway that never made it to the court on Jordan’s feet. Yet, it became one of the Air Jordan 1s coolest colorways. It’s one of the OG 1985 colorways, and Jordan wore them with a matching black and blue flight suit. Moreover, the same outfit was seen on Jordan on the deck of a ship while playing with the villains of the Hare Jordan commercial! The kicks restocked several times, the latest being a rework of the colorway that dropped in 2020.

Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam”

Do we really need to explain this? Along with Hare Jordan, Air Jordan wore a special colorway in the 1996 movie Space Jam. However, Jordan rocked the pair earlier during the 1995 playoffs. The kicks restocked in 2000, 2009, 2016, and 2017. According to Nike, the 2017 Space Jam 11s were their most successful sneakers ever!

Air Jordan 11 “Bred”

For the full story of the Breds, check this out. But in short, this was the pair Jordan was wearing when he won his fourth ring (the first after returning from retirement though). However, it was a bittersweet moment for MJ because it was his first win after his dad’s tragic death. But little did the basketball world, the Bulls were on their way to a second three-peat!

Best Air Jordan Collaborations

Collaborations have been a major part of Jordan Brand’s popularity and a huge selling point. That’s obvious because the most expensive kicks are mostly collabs! However, some collaborations stand out more than others. So now we’re going to talk about the best Air Jordan collaborations:

Travis Scott x Air Jordan

Air Jordan collabs

It’s true that Travis has an extensive history of collabs, but his signature Jordan sneakers were groundbreaking in every way! With a massive fanbase and sneakerheads on the lookout, every drop is a battleground for the cook. However, if you actually manage to cop any Travis Scott signature kicks, flipping them is worth a small fortune. Our personal favorite pair is the Air Jordan 1 with the reverse swoosh!

Release Date: 5/11/2019
Retail Price: $175
Average Resale Value: $1,300

Off-White x Jordan

Virgil Abloh, the streetwear icon, took a bunch of Nike sneakers and deconstructed them in 2017. But naturally, the most popular design would end up being a pair of Air Jordans. He made a name for himself in the sneaker industry. However, as time passes, Virgil and his designs evolve. The most obvious example is his latest drop, the Air Jordan 5, which took a sentimental detour there. But that doesn’t stop us from putting him among the top 3 Jordan collaborators! Our, and probably the industry’s, favorite pair of Off-White x Jordans is the deconstructed Chicago Air Jordan 1!

Release Date: 9/9/2017
Retail Price: $190
Average Resale Value: $3,831

Jordan x KAWS

A collaboration that we can never really forget. This collab managed to blur the line between art and sports. Although the artist Brian Donnelly isn’t a sneakerhead himself, he created a pair of kicks that made every sneakerhead in the world want it. Two Air Jordan 4s dropped, but we love the OG Cool Grey collab. The kicks feature a full grey suede upper with all the KAWS detailings we love! The kicks dropped along with special apparel and were very exclusive.

Release Date: 3/31/2017
Retail Price: $350
Average Resale Value: $1,673

Trophy Room x Air Jordan

A Jordan-on-Jordan collab! MJ’s son, Marcus Jordan, is the owner of Trophy Room, the shop that takes you to Jordan’s trophy room without really being there. So it’s natural for the two brands to collaborate on many different Air Jordan kicks. Our favorite Air Jordan x Trophy room collab unfortunately never made it to the public! It’s the F&F Trophy Room x Air Jordan 4.

Release Date: Unreleased
Average Resale Value: $5,316

Last Decade’s Most Expensive Air Jordans

Air Jordan 4 x Eminem “Encore” (2017)

The original version of this pair dates back to 2005. 50 pairs were made for the artist’s friends and family to celebrate his fifth album “Encore” which dropped in late 2004. 12 years later, the kicks dropped once again, and they somehow were even more exclusive! Only 23 pairs were available for purchase.

Release Date: 12/15/2017
Average Resale Value: $18,000

Air Jordan 11 “Jeter”

Most Expensive Air Jordan

Derek Jeter is a Major League Baseball player who played his entire career for the New York Yankees. As a tribute to him, Jordan brand dropped 5 pairs of Air Jordan 11 in his name. The kicks featured a navy suede upper and semi-translucent white outsole. The heels feature Jeter’s number “2”  throughout his career. The 5 pairs were available via a scratch-off auction at a pop-up store next to the Yankee Stadium.

Release Date: 5/14/2017
Average Resale Value: $18,257

Travis Scott x Air Jordan 4 (F&F)

Who doesn’t want to be La Flame’s friend since 2018? When Chase B (Travis’ DJ) rocked the pair during the Cactus Jack block party, the public went absolutely crazy! We all had hopes that this would be the second Travis Scott x Air Jordan collaboration. However, the kicks stayed exclusive to friends and family.

Release Date: Unreleased
Average Resale Value: $13,250

Air Jordan 4 x Eminem x Carhartt

With Shady Records turning 15, Eminem teamed up once again with Jordan Brand to release a new pair of kicks. The kicks featured a black Carhartt upper and chrome wings. The kicks were sold on eBay via auction. All proceeds went to the Marshall Mathers Foundation.

Release Date: 11/23/2015
Average Resale Value: $10,200

Air Jordan 1 x Fragment (F&F)

When Jordan Brand and Hiroshi Fujiwara decide to collaborate, we know it’s gonna be explosive. And when the pair of Air Jordan 1 dropped in the blue colorway with the Fragment stamp, we loved it! However, little did we know that there will be a friend & family version and another public version. The difference between the two is the fragment motif on the heels. The motif on the F&F jordans is embossed in black. The public release has a tonal embossing. The differences may be subtle, but the resale value speaks for itself.

Release Date: 12/27/2014
Average Resale Value: $7,720

Best Women’s Air Jordans

Air Jordans have been a cultural icon ever since MJ signed that deal with Nike. However, women sneakerheads weren’t as lucky as men if they wanted to pamper themselves. Today, women’s sneakers are becoming more popular, they’re even making men jealous sometimes! Although that step came a bit late, it’s better late than never. How to Wear Your Jordans

Thanks to their versatility, the 34 different silhouettes, and the countless colorways, you’re free to wear Jordans in any way! Air Jordan sneakers can be worn with almost anything from casual, to formal, to game looks. There are also high, mid, and low tops, so there’s something for everyone! However, if you want some extra tips, check out our detailed guide on how to wear Jordans here.

How to Take Care of Your Air Jordans

If you’re looking for a general sneaker-cleaning guide, check this out. However, if you want some Jordan-specific tips and tricks, you came to the right place!

LacesAir Jordan Laces Cleaning

  • The first rule is to remove all visible stains and dirt with a brush.
  • White laces: Put them in a bucket full of water with a teeny tiny amount of bleach (3 tbsps). Oh, and you better wear gloves for that.
  • Colored laces/with prints: Bleach is a no-no. Soak the laces in a bucket of water with a little bit of liquid soap, then stir them.
  • The golden rule is to let the laces air dry, never blow dry them! And make sure they are 100% dry before re-lacing your kicks.

Air Jordan Insole CleaningInsoles

  • Remove the insoles and air them out.
  • Use a soft brush to remove dirt and whatnot.
  • Prepare the cleaning solution by mixing a few drops of dishwashing liquid or cleaning serum in a bucket of hot water.
  • Clean the insoles with the soft brush after dipping it in the solution. (Make sure you use a circular motion)
  • After removing the soap with a cloth, leave the insoles to air dry.

Leather UppersAir Jordan Upper Cleaning

  • Start by stuffing your jordans with a balled-up cloth.
  • Mix cool water and some sneaker-cleaning serum in a bowl.
  • Using a soft brush, gently clean the uppers with the solution. You don’t wanna ruin the leather, do you? (Circular motions my friend)
  • Scrub the midsoles with a hard brush to remove all the dirt.

For suede uppers, check out this video!

Air Jordan Outsole Cleaning

Outsoles

  • To finish off the cleaning process, redo the cool water-cleaning serum mix.
  • Start off with a superficial cleansing using a hard brush to remove the obvious dirt.
  • For the stubborn filth in the cracks, clean the hard brush, and go through every one of them thoroughly.

Once you’re done cleaning the whole shoe, time to dry it! Pat the Jordans with a microfiber cloth, and then leave them to dry on their own!

The Last Dance

Netflix and ESPN took care of Jordanheads the same way they’d take care of their kicks: THE BEST WAY. They teamed up to give us what’s arguably the greatest sports docuseries to ever bless our screens. The Last Dance is one of the rare shows that unite the whole world. However, the effect of the series went beyond sports and slithered its way into the sneaker industry. And if you wanna know how it affected the industry, read this.

The last Dance

The Future of Air Jordan in the Industry

To wrap up, Air Jordans (especially earlier silhouettes) always have been hype-worthy kicks. However, some releases are not as popular as others. This is one of the major things that influence their resale value. Moreover, a general release with a high stock will likely result in a lower aftermarket value. But you always get that valuable exclusive pair or very popular collab or sentimental pair! You can read more about how to spot hype kicks here.

Air Jordan Future

As for the future, Jordan Brand has made it clear to the sneaker industry that it’s here to stay. And with the latest shift in the industry following Adidas and Ye’s breakup, Jordans are further cementing their presence. To make sure that happens, they’re regularly inking more and more athletes, celebs, and artists! The diversity and interesting campaigns are a sure way to keep the brand alive and strong for a long time. And finally, as long as Michael Jordan’s basketball legacy lives on, so will Air Jordan sneakers.

Nike Air Max 90 Camo is on a roll this year! Why? Because soon, we’re getting the third installation which comes in a very summerish colorway. But let’s not forget the upcoming Nike Dunk University Red, because that’s a must-cop! And now, let’s get down to business and see what this release holds.

Air Max Camo 90 Orange Duck

A Brief History of Air Max 90 Camo Releases

Atmos x Nike Air Max 90 “Duck Hunter Camo”

The camo trend isn’t new to Nike by any means. In fact, the first Air Max 90 Camo dropped back in 2013. It was a collaboration between Nike and the Japanese streetwear brand Atmos. The release was exclusive to Atmos Japan, so naturally, they were very hyped kicks. Actually, the lowest resale value for the kicks is $910.

Air Max 90 Camo Atmos

Nike Air Max 90 Camo “Air Max Day”

Although it wasn’t the Air Max Day we wanted in March 2020, we got some really cool kicks. The Air Max 90 “Reverse Camo” was a nod to 2013’s Atmos Air Max 90. And though not as successful as the original version, the kicks still resell for around $225.

Air Max 90 Camo Reverse Duck

Air Max 90 Camo “Volt”

Well, just as the name suggests, the camo series did not end with the Reverse Camo. In fact, Nike is doing what it does best: milking a successful design for all it’s worth. So on May 15, 2020, Nike Air Max 90 “Volt Green” dropped to celebrate the silhouette’s 30th anniversary. The kicks retailed for $140 and currently resells for an average of $200.

Air Max Camo 90 Volt

Orange Is the New Camo!

The upcoming Nike Air Max 90 Camo comes dressed in a flashy orange mesh and an orange duck camo pattern. The outsole also comes in the same shade of orange. Hits of black can be found around the visible air unit and on the heel area, eyelets, and the swoosh.

Air Max 90 Camo Orange

The kicks will drop on June 16, 2020, for a retail price of $140 on Nike. However, they are reselling for a starting price of $400. So if you’re thinking whether you should cop or drop, I think the answer is clear. And copping multiple pairs will let you flex n’ flip at the same time. So make sure you and NSB are ready for that cop! Meanwhile, check out the upcoming Off-White x Jordan 4 collab, it’s worth adding to the cop list of yours.

And finally, you don’t want your money going to waste when you JUST copped those Cinders or Pine Greens. You should put some use into these kicks you copped and flex on social media! Everyone is on Social Media now, and flexing the right pair will get you the ton of followers and likes you always wanted. While you make money from your job.

Work from home doesn’t look too bad now, right?

Finally, it’s a perfect choice if you wanna do some home workout too! While you’re on a break!

How to Style: You can follow one of Kanye West’s comfy outfits when you wear your Yeezys. We all know he’s down for all of that PJ-looking style! So we’d personally go for sweatpants and an oversized hoodie to complete the look. As for colors, it depends on the 350s you’re wearing! With black or colorful kicks we’d go for something earthy. However, if you decided to put on some earth-toned Yeezy 350s, you better choose something a bit more colorful for clothing! You know, to keep you cheerful.

Adidas Stan Smith / Superstar

Stan Smith - Superstar Quarantine Work From Home

Do we even have to explain why these are here? We all own at least one pair of these in our wardrobe because classics never go out of style! And with work from home, could you really wish for anything better fitting than these sneakers? They look good any way you style them, and they never seem to go out of stock! Here you can find the Stan Smiths and the Superstars. Order a pair now if you don’t have one!

How to Style: You can always get creative with a pair of white sneakers. Anything goes great with them. You can dress them up for a video conference with a shirt and tie and all. Or dress them down for a chill business as usual kind of a day. Our favorite look with them though? It’s a button-up T-shirt over some ripped jeans!

Nike Air MaxAir Max Quarantine Work From Home

Another classic (depending on which version you go for) made it to our list! It also made it to the list due to the air unit that provides comfort to the wearer, and that’s what you want when you work from home! They also look very good honestly and come in a huge variety of colors.

Personal favorites: Air Max 90 and Air Max 270

How to Style: These are the most flexible kicks, you can wear them however you want! But, you should go for comfy and cool looking in quarantine. That’s why our look of choice is a tee (maybe something graphic) with rolled up regular fit jeans.

What Not to Wear for Work From Home!

If I were you, I’d steer away from highs in every shape! It doesn’t matter how comfy it is wearing them outside, indoors is a whole different deal. So we don’t advise wearing the following:

The highs look good, and we love them on regular days and days out. We and our users cop them in mass whenever they drop!! But in quarantine and during “work from home” era? Not so much. They are high maintenance, you have to lace ‘em up and they’re far more precious to get them creased! So, as much as we wanna wear the new Court Purple AJ1s, they’re too restricting; you need to look good and feel good!

Slides. Slides. More Slides!

Slides Adidas Nike Quarantine Work From Home

Slides are your friends. Whether you decide to wear socks with them or not is a matter of great controversy. But man, you do you! In fact, some celebrities pulled off the slides look spectacularly. Some of them are Gigi Hadid, Sophie Turner, and David Beckham.

Slides are just the thing you need on days when you just can’t bother with shoes but at the same time don’t want to go barefoot! The best thing ever? You can take them off without the least effort and sit cross-legged. It’s my guilty pleasure while I work from home. Adilettes and Nike slides should be your go-to! Yeezy slides are ok too. If you can afford them.

How to Style: Go for the post-game athletic look! Oversized shorts and a simple T-shirt are the closest to PJs you can get without actually wearing PJs!

Slides Quarantine Work From Home

All Set to Face Quarantine!

Not that you have all the basics, you should definitely look up what you’re missing and get it. Who said work from home during quarantine can’t be fun and productive? We’re here to make it exactly that!

When we see it, we just know what brand it is, that’s the power of the Nike Swoosh! From Blue Ribbon Sports to the iconic sportswear giant we know and love today, Nike walked the walk. But in the marketing world, you’re as memorable as your logo. And we definitely remember the Oregon company and its logo. So how did it evolve through the years, and what’s its story? Let’s find out together!

Nike Swoosh 2021

Where It All Began

The all-time Nike swoosh along with the slogan “Just Do It” went through a series of changes with time. It finally became the iconic logo we see and love today. The Nike swoosh we see today is not the initial swoosh the brand started out with. Heck, the whole company name isn’t the initial name the brand used. The company began as “Blue Ribbon Sports” by Phil Knight and his coach Bill Bowerman! But later on, the name became Nike, which we’ll explain in a bit! Starting from the 1970s, the graphic designer Carolyn Davidson created the first mockups of the logo. However, they didn’t quite get a thumbs up from Phil Knight, Nike founder and accounting professor back in the day. His actual words were “Well, I don’t love it, but maybe it will grow on me.”

Nike Swoosh Evolution

The Nike swoosh logo received a series of font changes from a cursive serif font to Futura Bold. The logo was even put in a red square for a short time. After that, it was around the mid-80s when the Nike slogan “Just Do It” came to life. Pretty motivating right? Well, these were the last words of the Utah killer Gary Gilmore when he faced execution. But the slogan soon became famous thanks to Nike. The company grew and signed many superstars, with the highlight being Michael Jordan! In 1995, the Nike swoosh became the final one that we all know today. And Nike sneakers and Jordans became great assets for worldwide sneaker resellers!

The Nike Swoosh Meaning

The brand and the logo both offer complex things with minimal looks! The Nike swoosh borrows the wing shape of the Greek goddess of Victory. And guess what her name is? Nike! The word swoosh also symbolizes the sound of speed, so there you go. So all in all, the logo and the brand both convey the message of speed, efficiency, and victory! These swoosh characteristics would transfer to and inspire every person through Nike kicks or sportswear.

Altered Nike Swooshes

Who would’ve thought that the $35 logo would become the symbol of speed, athleticism, and quality for sneakers and sportswear? In order to stay on top of the game, Nike strives for innovation, style, and comfort. But most sneaker brands are adding a fashionable sense style to the strictly sports sneakers. So Nike and its sub-brand Air Jordan are creating alterations of the Nike Swoosh. Here are several design alterations that we can see on different Nike and Jordan sneakers. Although it’s a simple change, it kinda gave new life to the kicks!

Travis Scott’s Backwards Nike Swoosh

Much like his music, Travis Scott’s sneakers are very original and unique. And one of the features that stand out the most in his kicks is the backward Nike swoosh. This Swoosh was the focal point of his Air Jordan 1 in both High and low versions. But Travis was not the first to tweak Nike’s logo. And he’s certainly not the last!

Removable Swooshes

Nike decided to add removable swooshes for a change to several of their kicks. Usually, the pair comes with several swooshes of different materials and colors. One of the most famous kicks with removable swoosh, it Travis Scott’s Air force 1! The sail and white colorways resell for $1,000+ today!

Jewel Swoosh

Jewel swooshes seem to be liked and used more often in the sneaker market. Here, we have the Air Jordan 1 Mid “Fearless” and before it the Supreme SB Dunk Low featuring jewel swooshes. It’s a pretty fancy look if you ask me!

Striped Swoosh

The first of its kind, the striped Nike swoosh appeared on the women’s Nike Air Max 1. That was the first time the swoosh drops in a non-classic design. Three stripes replaced the usual pointy end of the Nike swoosh!

3D Swoosh

Another interesting Nike Swoosh design is the 3D swoosh. That’s easily done by stacking up several swooshes of different colors, and voilà! This design obviously gives a pretty cool effect to the sneakers. We can find the 3D swoosh on the Nike SB Dunk x Parra collab. We also got another one on 2019’s “3D Glasses” GS Air Force 1!

Nike and Fear of God’s Jerry Lorenzo join forces to bring the Nike Air Fear Of God 1 which features a boot-like construction with a cage lacing system. Two colorways are due to drop this weekend, the “Light Bone” and “Black”.

Jerry Lorenzo, Fear of God

Born on October 5, 1976, Jerry Lorenzo was brought up in a religious household and read devotions with his family every day. Today, he is a luxury streetwear fashion designer and the owner of Fear of God. His brand attracts the likes of many celebrities including Justin Bieber, Kanye West, and Kendall Jenner. Now, he’s garnered the attention of major sneaker brand, Nike.

Nike Fear of God 1

With military boot aesthetics, the Nike Air Fear of God 1 is simple yet tactical. Unlike most collaborations these days, this one doesn’t scream branding. You will only find a small Swoosh on the lateral and simple Fear of God branding near the icy Air unit. In addition to the Nike Air logo on the heel and Fear of God written on the back of the mid-sole. There are no crazy or questionable designs, images, writings, or stitching. The silhouette is simple, straight to the point, and can go well with your entire wardrobe, just as Lorenzo intended.

This weekend, Nike Basketball will also be releasing a toned down version of the Nike FOG 1, “Shoot Around”. This iteration ditches the caging system for a simpler upper with a unique lacing system. You can see a large Swoosh on the lateral and a smaller one on the toe box.

Air Fear of God Upcoming Colorways

The silhouette also debuted in a bright yellow colorway. According to sneaker leaker @py_rates, more colorways are set to be dropping in Spring/Summer 2019. They include an “Orange Pulse,” “Frosted Spruce,” and “Sail/Black” colorways. They will also retail for $395 USD.

Release Information

The sneaker-boots release on Saturday, December 15, 2018 for $395 each. With a retail price that’s similar to aftermarket prices, you better bet their resale price is going to be high. According to StockX, the Light Bone colorway is selling for an average of $1,469 USD; the Black one for $1,213 USD.

The Nike Air Fear of God 1 “Shoot Around” will also drop on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at a retail price of $300 USD. Dropping alongside it is the entire Fear of God x Nike Basketball collection and of course the “Light Bone” and “Black” colorways.

Rumors are these kicks will be dropping on many sites including FearOfGod, DSM, Xhibition, & ExtraButter – all of which are supported by NSB.
