Fear of God Adidas Brings New-ish Silhouettes to the Mix!

You know how the sneaker industry is always changing, with collabs ending and others starting up. But one thing’s for sure, everyone waited patiently for the Fear of God Adidas collab to come out. And finally, pictures came out of a couple of sneakers, and we’re ready to check them out! So, what do the collaborative kicks look like? And what does the public think about these babies? Fear of God Adidas – A Recap

Before Adidas, the sneaker industry had the FoG x Nike partnership. That collaboration started in 2018 and gave us some pretty cool releases. You can check the list of all the Nike FoG releases right here! Unfortunately, that partnership came to an end in November 2020 because they didn’t agree on long-term plans. And Jerry Lorenzo didn’t feel that Nike was compensating him well enough. Exactly a month later, Adidas came out with the announcement that they entered a long-term partnership with Fear of God!

Unfortunately, the collab went AWOL, and we didn’t hear any news about the sneakers. That was until 2023 when snippets of the Fear of God Adidas collection came out! But that certainly didn’t come out without its own bumps in the road. Now though, we finally have potential images of some of the coming kicks. Let’s take a look at them, shall we?

The Silhouettes We Should Expect

So far, we have two potential silhouettes coming soon. The first one is not really an OG silhouette but kinda looks like it after the change it underwent. You see, the Fear of God Adidas Rivalry Low 86 kept the upper but switched the sole unit. Instead of the usual midsole, a new beige platform unit gives the kicks a whole new vibe. The co-branding of Adidas and FoG completes the sole unit!

Now, the second silhouette is still in its sample phase. However, the image is clear enough to take a look at. At first glance, we can tell that the silhouette takes inspiration from the Adidas Retropy E5. Again, the upper features suede just like the first pair, in another predictable nude colorway.

What Do We Know About the Fear of God Adidas Kicks?

So far, there is no exact release date for the sneakers. However, rumors have it that the kicks will drop sometime during this fall. And if these babies are worth anything like the Nike releases, they’ll be worth the money you invest in them! And to cash in on drops like these, you’ll need to score a pair or even multiples.
