If you’re here, then you’re probably going through a sneaker education loop. And well, you’re in the right place! We’re going all-in with the Travis Scott collaborations here. But first, we’re doing a (not so) tiny recap on the industry’s history with collabs! What started as a rubber-soled shoe in the late 18th century grew to become one of the most popular industries. The sneaker industry has come a long way since then.

You see, a gem that Converse discovered gave a new depth to footwear. In 1923, Charles “Chuck” Taylor collaborated with Converse to give us the Chuck Taylor All-Stars. A timeless classic that was the turning point of how things went in the industry. That was the start of sneaker collabs we’re all so familiar with. Converse dominated the industry until the early 1960s when new competitors like Nike, Adidas, and Puma started gaining momentum.

Travis Scott Collaborations History NSBA Quick History of Sneaker Collabs

A lot of collabs with prominent names followed the initial Converse x Chuck Taylor partnership a few decades later, the most notable being:

Adidas x Kareem Abdul Jabbar (1971)

Kareem Abduljabbar adidas

Puma x Walt Frazier (1973)

Puma Walt Frazier Collab

Nike x Michael Jordan (1984)

Collaborations - Michael Jordan Nike

Nike really hit the jackpot with the Air Jordan partnership. In fact, this move put Nike on the basketball map, and lowkey changes the sneaker scene. So when we talk about the sneaker industry as we know it today, we got Nike and MJ to thank for that. And for a long time, it felt like sneaker brands were only partnering up with athletes. Whether it was an attempt to create another MJ phenomenon or something else, it was always athletes. But that was about to change in a couple of years.

Music and Sneakers – The Start of Something New

Then, in 1986, Adidas introduced the first-ever music collaboration to the sneaker community. This partnership was with the musical group RUN DMC, and it opened up a path for a new category of influencers to market kicks! Because, well, music always spoke to the hearts and sneaker brands needed to get there. And honestly, “My Adidas” is a pop culture icon thanks to RUN DMC!

Collaboration Adidas RUN DMC

Even so, it took another 16 years for artist collabs and the sneaker-music mashup to become a thing. The most memorable musical partnerships are:

Jay Z x Reebok S. Carter (2002)

Sean Carter, aka Jay Z, collaborated with Reebok to produce a sneaker in his name! The timing of the collaboration was perfect and the shoes sold out very fast. Today though, Jay-Z is the creative director of Puma’s basketball division. And while Queen Bey had a deal with Adidas, it didn’t last long. And Adidas x IVY PARK is no more.

Reebok Jay Z collab

50 Cent x Reebok G6 (2004)

The shoe was a huge success upon release. It actually sold out in just days!

Kanye West x Nike (2009 – 2013)

Kanye actually collaborated with other companies, but the Nike collab is what left a huge mark on the sneaker industry. Today, all the Air Yeezys still resell for a lot more than their original value. In fact, the Nike Air Yeezy Grammys Sample is one of the most expensive sneakers ever!

Kanye West x Adidas (2014 – 2022)

The Kanye x Adidas partnership took the world by storm. Everyone is familiar with Yeezys, even if they’re not sneakerheads! Ye dominated the collaboration game ever since he dropped the first Air Yeezys in 2009. Why is that? Simply, because Kanye played the music, fashion, and exclusivity games right. Unfortunately, his… rather eccentric views and opinions were the hill he kinda died on. You see, that led to the end of his Adidas partnership and Yeezys are no more.

Collaborations - Kanye West Adidas Yeezy

But the way the industry works, there’s always a new artist who’s gonna shine bright. And be it with his music, his style, or his collaborations, Travis Scott certainly managed to stand out as an artist and as an influencer!

Travis Scott Collaborations History

travis scott collaborations - unreleased NSB

In 2012, the Houston rapper inked deals with rappers Kanye and T.I… From then on, he exponentially gained fame because of his talent. Naturally, we all know Travis’s collab with Nike and Jordan. But before that, we had some low-key yet interesting Travis Scott collaborations that you should know about.

Travis Scott x Reebok Classics

Reebok partnered up with Travis in 2013 for a campaign to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Reebok Classics. However, this partnership didn’t go anywhere and no sneakers were released.

Travis Scott x Helmut Lang

Unlike his over-the-top personality, the capsule Travis released with Helmut Lang was pretty minimalistic. The capsule from 2017 included t-shirts, sweatshirts, sweatpants, denim jackets, jeans, and sneakers. All garments featured the cowboy print and bull imagery as a nod to his Texan background.

Travis Scott x McDonald’s

Not a sneaker collaboration per se, but boy did it rock the streetwear industry! Besides making Travis a whopping $20 Million, fans got to enjoy the rapper’s favorite meal. In addition to that, the merch was absolutely fantastic. The creepy nugget pillow is hands-down our personal favorite. I mean, who doesn’t like to nap on a snack? It’s also worth noting that Scott is the first celebrity to get his own meal after the mighty Michael Jordan!

Unreleased Sneakers

Travis Scott Jordan Trunner LX

The 2017 Travis Scott x Jordan Trunner LX was a friends and family exclusive sneaker. The unreleased shoe served as an introduction of La Flame into the world of Nike and Jordan. The mix of white, blue, green, and orange made for eye-catching color blocking!

Fun fact: Did you know that one pair of Travis Scott Trunner LX was found at a thrift shop for $54.95?

Travis Scott Jordan 4 Purple Suede F&F

Back to exclusive friends and family releases. This release was limited to around 1,000 pairs that were all made for Travis’s entourage. The shoe features a very cool purple suede upper and is available on the resale value for a whopping $20K+!

Travis Scott Jordan 4 Olive F&F

First seen worn by Kylie Jenner right after giving birth to Stormi in 2018, the olive-toned Jordan 4 turned out to be a release limited to family and friends. No release date has been set for its release and only some of the pairs resurfaced on resale platforms.

Travis Scott Jordan 4 Cactus Jack F&F

Although it had a public release counterpart, these babies are still pretty much sought after. Why? Because of exclusivity and a slight design difference. You see, the heel on the F&F kicks features the Nike emblem instead of the Jumpman. And well, they’re currently worth a whopping average of $3,875.

Travis Scott Jordan 6 Yellow F&F

Shortly after we got the Olive Jordan 6 (see below), Travis Scott stepped out in a never-seen-before pair of AJ6s. These babies featured a mustard-color suede upper with all the same design bits. However, these kicks never dropped, and well, they’re not available anywhere unless you have a really good sneaker plug!

Travis Scott Collaborations (2017-2020)

travis scott collaborations - 2017 - 2020 NSB

Travis Scott Nike Air Force 1 “AF100”

To celebrate Air Force 1’s 35th anniversary, Nike decided to collaborate with different names and give us the “AF100” pack. Some of the names were Virgil Abloh (CEO of Off-White), Kareem “Biggs” Burke (Co-Founder of Roc-A-Fella Records), and Travis Scott. The Travis Scott AF1 features a simple white upper with different removable swoosh logos!

The Travis Scott x AF1 dropped on October 2, 2017, for a price tag of $150. They were instant fan favorites, and still are since they have an average resale value of $1,388

Travis Scott Jordan 4 “Cactus Jack”

The first collab between Travis and Jordan Brand that publicly dropped on June 9th, 2018. These shoes featured a light blue suede upper (let’s face it, it’s so pretty). Unlike the F&F pair we talked about earlier, these babies featured the Jumpman on the heel. This slight difference created a huge gap in resale prices. But the public pair is still worth a hefty resale value at $1,049 on average.

Travis Scott Nike Air Force 1 “Sail”

Another Air Force 1 with the Travis signature “Cactus Jack” released on August 10, 2018. However, the sneakers don a sail upper instead of white with Cactus Jack patches on the laces and the removable swoosh logo on the side. The Travis Scott x Air Force 1 “Sail” retailed for $150 and is available on resale platforms for an average of $1,124.

Travis Scott Jordan 33

Boy, does Travis like his military colors or what? This shoe might not be the most popular out of his Jordan collabs, but it definitely sparked the attention of the sneaker world. When Travis Scott wears a shoe, the shoe hits, even if it’s… meh. The shoes dropped on Valentine’s Day 2019 for $185 and currently resell for $244 on average.

Travis Scott Jordan 1 Mocha

The all-time fan-favorite Air Jordan 1 came back in May 2019 for $175 with La Flame’s signature. This combination sparked the attention of both sneakerheads and ragers. With a brown and white upper and the usual famous Air Jordan 1 silhouette, the shoe is super cool! Travis left his signature with a backward Swoosh logo that adds eccentricity to the retro design. Nike shock dropped the AJ1s during the 2019 Grammy Awards to celebrate Travis’s performance! You can get your own pair now if you have $1,604 to spare.

Travis Scott Jordan 1 Low Mocha

On July 20th, 2019, Travis gave his fans the awaited Air Jordan low. He wore this one on his Astroworld tour and was different from the Grammy shoes. The backward swoosh was there, but instead of dark olive, the upper was brown and black. Red laces were also swapped for black ones. The shoes retailed for $130 but are currently reselling for an average of $1,789! Talk about success!

Fun fact: Travis gave his fans a first look at his latest Air Jordan 1 low collaboration at the 2019 Grammy Awards. The shoes featured a dark olive and black upper with the reverse swoosh and red laces. However, this exact shoe never released to the public.

Travis Scott Jordan 6 Olive

Ahem… Do we really need to introduce the shoe that left the sneaker industry buzzing about it for a while? The olive-toned shoes were supposed to release in September 2019 but the release got pushed back to October 11th, 2019. The silhouette is already a nice one, so what happens when Travis adds his touch to it? A win! However, the shoes were limited so not everyone got lucky when trying to get them, and boy did that make his fans mad! Today, you can get these babies for an average of $488.

Fun fact: The AJ6 is the first Travis Scott collab to release in full family sizing.

Travis Scott Air Force 1 “Cactus Jack”

When Travis wears it, it becomes the talk of the industry. This seems to be the norm when Travis teases fans and sneakerheads alike by wearing upcoming releases bearing his signature. Initially believed to be released in October, the Cactus Jack pair dropped in November 2019.

The shoes might not be his first Air Force 1 collaboration, but they sure are the most unique! A removable lace cover is a cool addition to any shoe. And the TX branding on the heel tab is a nod to Travis’s origins. With a very different upper, the shoes were a hit, naturally, but maybe not as much as earlier drops. You can get your pair off of the aftermarket today for an average of $477!

Travis Scott Nike SB Dunk Low

This was one of the most interesting Travis Scott collaborations. Not only because of the looks but because it was Scott’s first venture into the skateboarding division! But speaking of the looks, the pair rocked a sick tearable paisley upper. And honestly, we were all there for it since the rapper isn’t a stranger to customizable kicks. Some of the kicks also came in a special Nike SB box to spice things up. You can find the regular Dunks for $1,598, while the special box goes for $1,548 on average!

Travis Scott Nike Air Max 270 React

The last of the Travis Scott collaborations certainly left fans in a daze. This release looked super experimental and we loved it! Although people initially welcomed it with mixed emotions, the pair was a natural success. We should also give credit to the marketing department because they did one heck of a job! The whole cactus trails theme ruled with the matching accessories and website. But of course, we were all interested in the actual kicks which resell for around $361 today!

Travis Scott Collabs (2020-2023)

Travis Scott Jordan 6 British Khaki

Although it wasn’t as successful as its olive counterpart, the Jordan 6 British Khaki still sold out. And while it’s not as valuable on the aftermarket as other kicks, these babies can still make some decent profit! You can currently flip the pair for $379 on average.

Fragment x Travis Scott Jordan 1 High

travis scott collaborations - 2020 - 2023 NSB

What’s better than a two-way collaboration? A three-way collaboration! And when it’s about Fragment, Cactus Jack, and the Swoosh, you know it’s gonna be good. Now, many sneakerheads agree that this is one of the best Travis Scott collaborations of the year! And well, an average resale value of $2,234 certainly reinforces that belief.

Fragment x Travis Scott Jordan 1 Low

Just as the high-top version made a ripple in the industry, the lows are totally eye-catchers. These babies featured all the same details as the high-top version but catered to different tastes. Anyway, these babies certainly are worth a bucketload of money in resale just like the highs. And well, $1,453 on average is a pretty impressive number!

Travis Scott Air Max 1 Wheat/Baroque Brown/Saturn Gold

We all know how Travis Scott collaborations are usually hits. The Air Max 1 colorways were relatively a miss in comparison to previous drops. However, these babies were certainly a hit if you compare them to regular Air Max 1 drops. Now, in terms of aftermarket value, we gotchu. The wheat colorway is worth $430, the baroque browns $381, and the Saturn golds go for $268.

Travis Scott Air Trainer 1 SP Chocolate/Grey Haze

If you considered the Air Max 1s a flop, then you definitely didn’t see the Air Trainer 1s coming. You see, if you’re looking for an affordable pair of Travis Scott collaborations, that’s your pair. The Air Trainer 1 Chocolate is worth $155, while the grey haze colorway goes for under retail at $132!

Travis Scott Jordan 1 Low Reverse Mocha

After a brief stint of not-really-successful kicks, the hot Travis Scott collaborations were back! And what’s a better pair than the Jordan 1 Low to keep things spicy? The Jordan 1 Low Reverse Mocha was the reverse colorway of the OG Jordan 1 Low Mocha. So you kinda see the attraction here, don’t you? These babies are currently worth $1,123 on average!

Travis Scott Jordan 1 Low Black Phantom

Let us tell you this: sneakerheads had mixed feelings about the all-black Travis Scott Jordan 1 Low. And that kinda reflected in the resale value of the kicks. You see the kicks are currently worth $656, which kinda makes them the most affordable collaborative AJ1s!

Travis Scott Jordan 1 Low Olive (W)

This was allegedly the last Jordan 1 silhouette that Travis and JB were gonna give us. And well, a women’s exclusive was a first among the list of very long collaborative pairs. If you missed this drop, you can get your pair for $678 on average on the aftermarket.

Travis Scott Air Force 1 Utopia

Last but not least, you didn’t expect La Flame to drop his latest album without some kinda bang, right? And this time, the bang came in the shape of a co-branded Air Force 1! You can take a look at the whole story here. What you need to know though is that the kicks are currently worth $300 in resale.

What Does Cactus Jack Have in Store for Sneakerheads?

You see, the Jordan 1 Olive Low was the last Jordan collab, but not for the reasons you think. It’s because Travis Scott is gonna get his own signature silhouette! That would be the Jorddan Cut the Check. You can take a look at everything we know about the kicks here. But what matters is that the kicks are certainly gonna be worth investing in! Now, here’s everything you should know before investing in sneakers.

But Why Are Travis Scott Collaborations This Desirable?

Is the limited stock what’s making the shoes so hyped? Travis Scott collaborations are generally pretty exclusive and hard to get ahold of. And eventually, most pairs go to resellers who are making thousands of dollars flipping the kicks.

Is it his music? Travis has undeniably left his mark on the music industry and collaborated with a lot of big names like T.I., Drake, Kanye West, Kid Cudi, and Ed Sheeran. Nowadays, artists and musicians have a bigger impact on Millenials than athletes.

Was his relationship with Kylie Jenner a factor? Like them or not, the Kardashians have built a beauty empire and gained a HUGE following. With Kylie and Travis being a couple, it sure made them both win over the hearts of millions. After all, Kylie has her own huge reputation and fame, and rocking the kicks was certainly enough marketing to get them out into the world.

Do the colorways, style, and military-inspired details have anything to do with the shoes’ popularity? We cannot deny that all the Travis Scott collaborations till now are candy to the eye! Nike heads are always eager to find a huge collab to support too. Especially in the absence of a collab as big as “The Ten” collection and the rise of Yeezys in 2019.

What we do know for now is that Travis is not showing any sign of stopping anytime soon. And why should he? Every collab is selling out in record times and people want MORE! And the latest proof of that is the upcoming signature shoe. So keep it locked on our blog for more info!

The Jordan Fall lineup is definitely all about that feeling of nostalgia, no cap. So whether you’re an ancient sneakerhead or just tapping into the sneaker world, we gotchu. The kicks we’re gonna talk about today are new, with a whiff of OG! Air Jordan always drops bomb colorways, so why should this one be any different? Let’s check out what’s so special about the upcoming Air Jordan 6 Bordeaux. Oh and definitely why you should add it to your sneaker collection!

Jordan 6 Bordeaux 2021

It Started Back in 1992!

The Bordeaux colorway isn’t really new. In fact, it’s actually an OG colorway! So back in 1992, an ad for the Air Jordan 7 dropped with the famous Bugs Bunny. Jordan was wearing a pair of AJ7s that looked pretty cool, while Bugs rocked a white pair. The kicks on MJ’s feet were the Jordan 7 Bordeaux, and we were in love, naturally.

You know how hard it is for sneakerheads to not get the kicks they love. And Jordan Brand kinda torments us until they re-release that amazing pair we loved. Luckily, fans only had to wait for like 19 years to get a retro! The second retro came much faster than that though, and we had to only wait for 4 years. So if you’re looking for the older kicks, you can find the 2011s for $407 on average, and the 2015s for $361!

Jordan 7 Bordeaux

Jordan 6 Bordeaux – The Kicks We Didn’t Know We Needed

We really gotta give it to JB, cause the brand really puts creative spins on different silhouettes. One of these silhouettes is the awesome Jordan 6. The new Jordan 6 Bordeaux features a really cool grey and black upper nubuck. The tongue features the colorful zigzags we love about the 7s too! And we gotta admit, the colorway looks perfect on the Jordan 6 Bordeaux. Who knew kicks can kill a colorway that isn’t its own?

We all love us an amazing sneaker lineup because, well, who doesn’t like fresh drip? So buckle up, and let’s check out all the new kicks coming our way this fall. Trust us, you wouldn’t wanna miss these drops, and will definitely need a sneaker bot for most of ‘em!

New Air Jordans Fall 2021 Lineup

New Air Jordans – For the Love of Ones!

Okay so, this season we’re not just getting one colorway of Air Jordan 1, but four different ones! And honestly, we can never get enough of them no matter what. The first one on our list is the pretty fantastic “Pollen” yellow and black colorway. It will drop on July 8, 2021, for $170. The pair actually resells for $700, a must-have, right?

jordan 1 pollen

Next up, we got the pretty cool Jordan 1 Electro Orange. It’s a mashup of orange, white, and black leather that can never go wrong! It’ll drop on July 17, 2021, for the usual $170. And if you’re looking for an easy flip, this pair will go for around $400!

Now we’re getting to some exciting news. The awesome Jordan 1 Prototype is a pair that will give you a feel of customizability! It comes with a collar that you can remove and bam! A new pair of Jordan 1 Lows. The kicks come in a mix of grey leather and nubuck with a dash of blue on the collar! The pair is set to drop on September 11, 2021, for $170!

jordan 1 prototype

Last but not least, a women’s exclusive pair is always welcome! The new colorway’s inspiration, the very light green, is the sage herb. In addition to that, the laces come in a white/orange mix! Does that remind you of a certain pair of kicks? (Wink, wink Desert Sage 350s!) Anyway, Jordan 1 Seafoam will drop on August 12, 2021, for $170, so stay tuned!

jordan 1 seafoam

You Can Never Go Wrong With Blue Jordan 3s (and Some 4s)

Now, this pair is not only flip-worthy but flex-worthy too! It comes in awesome white leather, with the fan-favorite cement print. The only special thing about it is the royal blue midsole details. So, if our description floats your boat, then be ready to cop on July 10, 2021, for $190! The sneaker also resells for $450, so there’s that!

new air jordans - jordan 3 racer blue

Another pair of 4s is pretty monochromatic, and a women’s exclusive too! It features a neutral buttery leather upper. It’s a pretty simple pair that you can easily style with anything. If you want in on that, Jordan 4 Shimmer drops on September 3, 2021!

new air jordans - jordan 4 shimmer

5s, 6s, All New Air Jordans!

The more kicks we’re getting, the hotter the colorways. And first up, we got a classic, sentimental colorway, on an awesome silhouette! The Shattered Backboard has an awesome story behind it that you can read here. In 2021, Jordan 5 rocks the colorway with a white leather upper, and all the orange and black action in the midsole! Anyway, the kicks will drop on September 25, 2021.

new air jordans - jordan 5 shattered backboard

The next two kicks are a women’s exclusive and an interesting color mix on the Air Jordan 6! First up, we got the Golden Hoops AJ6 dropping on July 1, 2021! The pair features a mix of white and an extremely light pink hue along with a golden hangtag. The pair resells for about $300, so pretty worth it in our opinion!

new air jordans - jordan 6 gold hoops

The last Jordan 6 on the list is a cool mashup of dark grey, light grey, purple, and poppin’ orange! Air Jordan 6 Bordeaux is pretty lively and will drop on September 4, 2021, for $190. It’s a pretty nice pair for the warm season yo!

jordan 6 Bordeaux

A Flashback from the 90s!

Now, last but not least, we have 5 more sneakers from 11s all through the 14s! First up, we got the interesting-looking Air Jordan 11 IE Bred. It features the classic bred colorway that makes any silhouette instantly awesome! In fact, this pair is specifically a 1996 retro, which adds to the cool factor. You can catch that drop on September 18, 2021, for $170. Stay tuned for more info about this pair!

new air jordans - jordan 11 IE Bred

But Wait… We Ain’t Done Yet!

Now we move on to the classic Air Jordan 12. It’s pretty famous for things like the Flu Game, well who doesn’t remember that? And now, we’re gonna get two interesting colorways. One will come in a white leather upper and red metallic detailings. Jordan 12 Twist will drop on July 24 for $190.

new air jordans - jordan 12 twist

The second colorway is a nod to Nike’s sustainability movement. It features a black leather upper, but the action goes on in the outsole! Jordan 12 Utility’s outsole is made of at least 3% Nike Grind! The kicks will drop on August 21 for $200. That’s more expensive than usual, but maybe that’s the cost of sustainability?

new air jordans - jordan 12 utility

The second to last pair is a nice take of the obsidian palette on AJ XIII. We all know how successful this colorway is on the Air Jordan 1! So what stops it from being so on the 13s? With its very nice turquoise outsole, the pair will definitely be a banger! You can expect them to drop on August 14, 2021, for $190!

new air jordans - jordan 13 obsidian

Finally, the last of new Air Jordans on our list is the AJ XIV, and it’s a women’s exclusive! So this colorway is technically a Bred, but the inspiration is actually red lipstick. Moreover, the black “packaging” with the popping red on the top don’t leave much for the imagination! An extra bonus is also the tissue paper with lipstick stains that’ll come with the packaging. The unique pair will drop on September 16, for $170! You better not miss that, especially that it’s a pretty gender-neutral colorway.

How to Get the New Air Jordans?

Wow, that was an incredible trip to Jordan-land! However, that many releases will totally need more than luck to get them. So, what you will need? Well, first off, buy a sneaker bot, but not before you do these things! But when you do get your bot, you’re gonna need to check out this cooking guide. Good luck fam!

Update: We finally have a release date after so many teasers! The new Travis Scott Jordan 6 is dropping on the rapper’s birthday: April 30, 2021. It will retail for $250, which is more expensive than the AJ6 usual retail. After all, these are not your average kicks! And if you’re as lucky as you can get, you’ll manage to cop multiple pairs. Why is that a good idea though? Well, considering the pair resells for up to $2,000, you can make a pretty sick revenue. Just make sure you know where to sell your kicks.

2021 just keeps getting better and better. Travis Scott and Jordan Brand have really killed the game ever since they kickstarted the partnership in 2017. We still remember the pain of missing out on the Cactus Jack Jordan 1 and Jordan 6 Olive. But one person got all the perks of F&F and public releases: Stormi Webster. And boy don’t we wish we were part of StormiWorld! The latest heartache comes in form of the Travis Scott Jordan 6 British Khaki. Read on to find out why.

Travis Scott Jordan 6 Stormi Birthday

Happy 3rd Birthday Stormi!

One can hardly forget last year’s birthday party. Well, the word “party” underestimates the $100K+ birthday celebration. When Kylie said it’s gonna be insane, she wasn’t kidding at all.

This year though, Covid-19 restricted the birthday extravaganza to an “at-home cousin party”. Which, if you wanna know, consisted of a candy shop, a food truck, a Stormi inflatable slide, and merch! But the highlight was the seriously sick sneaker collection that Stormi got from Nike themselves.

Stormi Sneaker Collection

Kylie didn’t miss the shot at flexing her kid’s collection, and honestly, we wouldn’t either. The collection includes the Off White Rubber Dunks, the City Market Dunks, AJ1 University Blue, and more. But the highlight of the collection is definitely daddy’s Air Jordan 4 Cactus Jack! So all in all, this whole sneaker pack is worth a four-figure value. Too bad she’s gonna grow out of them pretty soon.

Travis Scott Jordan 6 British Khaki: There’s No Gift Like Dad’s

If Nike’s gift is a pretty great one, it kinda pales next to La Flame’s. They gave her a bunch of exclusive previous releases, he gave her an almost mythical pair! The unreleased Travis Scott Jordan 6 British Khaki is the pair we discussed but rarely saw. And now it’s in GS sizing for princess Stormi! On the bright side, this teaser kinda confirmed the release of the kicks. Although we don’t have a release date yet, the pair will hopefully drop this spring. We can also assume that the Travis Scott Jordan 6 will drop in full family sizes, so thank you Stormi!

Travis Scott Jordan 6 GS

The new Travis Scott Jordan 6 British Khaki features all the military details we loved in the olive pair! The upper comes in a British khaki suede colorway with a military-style pocket and zipper. The translucent outsole gives an edge to the kicks along with the Cactus Jack logo. You can find it on the midsole and the outsole! But let’s face it, the pair would be pretty boring if it didn’t have an extra pop of color.

Luckily, we can find the Nike Air, Jumpman, and Cactus Jack logos in infrared! That’s kinda similar to the 2019 olive pair, and we know we’re gonna try to cop on drop day. Also, Travis Scott Jordan 6 British Khaki is already available on the aftermarket! Guess how much it’s selling for? Up to $2,000! That should give you a basic idea of how it will do later on.

Travis Scott Jordan 6 2021

Beyond Travis Scott Jordan 6: Another Cactus Jack Collab?

We now know the Travis Scott Jordan 6 British Khaki will drop at some point, we got more tea! Apparently, a new three-way collaboration is in the works. Air Jordan x Fragment Design x Travis Scott sounds like a dream come true! As far as the leaks go, we know that the pair will rock the Fragment blue colorway. We got the famous Cactus Jack reverse swoosh and the branding on the heel. Moreover, the Fragment logo is on the other heel. We’re gonna have to wait for more pictures to judge on the complete look. But we know it’s gonna be worth a lot, so brace yourselves!

NSB Goes All the Way With You

And NSB proved time and time again that it’s the bot you need to get your sneaker game going. So what say you? It’s probably time to get shopping!

Jordan Brand mastered the art of teasing sneaker releases. And this year happens to be the 30th anniversary of the Air Jordan 6 silhouette. So what better celebration is there than a retro of the 1991 OG Jordan 6 Carmine? 2021 totally got us high on the excitement, especially with a Supreme season that promises to come with a bang. And speaking of Supreme, make sure you know how to style a Bogo right before you buy it!

Jordan 6 Carmine

Air Jordan 6 Carmine: A Color as Hot as Fire!

The 6th silhouette made its first appearance back in 1991 when Jordan and the Chicago Bulls snatched their first championship. Interestingly, AJ6 is the last silhouette to feature the Nike Air branding on the kicks. You see, that’s when Jordan went independent. Next up, we got several color variations of the silhouette. One of them is Jordan 6 Carmine that was actually the first AJ6 to feature colored panels and toebox. The color carmine is the result of crushing cochineal bugs – and a more complex procedure probably. It’s a natural colorant and it’s famous for being durable and the origin for many other shades.

Air Jordan 6 1991

So, with the colorway being set, the new Jordan 6 Carmine is actually not the first retro since 1991. The first retro was in 2008 as part of the Countdown Pack along with the black Air Jordan 17. The CDP was Jordan Brand’s interesting way of introducing 2008’s Jordan 23! The only downside of Jordan 6 Carmine CDP was that it featured Jumpman branding instead of Nike Air. Today, this pair resells for about $500, and it will probably go higher the older it gets. The second retro came six years later, in 2014. Alas, the sneakers also had the Jumpman branding. But naturally, that didn’t stop die-hard fans, and the pair is on the aftermarket for around $450!

Air Jordan 6 Carmine

2021 Is the Retro Year

Because OG sneakerheads deserve OG sneakers, Jordan Brand is dropping Jordan 6 Carmine in its original look! The kicks will finally be true to the 1991 Nike Air branding to celebrate 30 years of AJ6. The other details are as awesome as ever with the carmine red tongue, panels, and toebox. Let’s not forget the translucent ice midsole either! The pair will drop on February 13, 2021, for $200. It will also be available in Grade School, Pre-School, and Toddler sizes. And make sure you don’t miss on the adult pair because it’s actually reselling for up to $750!

Jordan 6 Carmine 2021

Bleeding from the Heart!

Although we’re absolutely in love with the awesome Jordan 5 Carmine, something had to pop our bubble. Apparently, several stores received defective pairs. Apparently, the very stable carmine paint wasn’t top-notch, and that led to color bleeding! So, instead of a stark white midsole, we got it in light pink, and naturally, this won’t do. If we put two and two together, that means Jordan Brand will pull out the defective kicks. This means that the number of pairs will be less than everyone expected and the demand is already high! In times like these, an all-in-one bot like NSB will come in handy. We still don’t know whether the pink-soled kicks will go to outlets. With this kind of defect though, we really doubt.

What You Can Buy for $200 [and Less]

If this news put you off from buying the upcoming Jordan 6 Carmine, we got you some alternatives! The replacements might actually look better, stain less, and make you some more profit. These kicks are releasing soon, so better gear up with NSB because the game is hot n flamin’.

Two Nike Dunk Lows for $200!

Dunks are continuing the hype streak with lots of new releases and awesome comebacks. So if you don’t want to invest in a pair of Jordan 6 Carmine, these two colorways are the purchase you need to make! And if you do the math, it’s a profit you can’t ignore.

This is it, the most exciting week of the year! For all the shopping addicts out there, it’s time to open the piggy bank cause we sure are payin’! Now besides the electronics, gadgets, and beauty brands, sneakers also take part in the shopping frenzy. And one of the best releases to shed some cash on this week is Yeezy 500 Black. But that’s not the only release to run your sneaker bot on, so let’s check them all out!

Black Friday releases yeezy 500 black

Air Jordan 6 “Single’s Day”

Since Valentine’s Day is pretty overrated for some peeps, the singles of the world need some credit! Single’s Day, or previously Bachelor’s Day, is an unofficial Chinese holiday that celebrates… Singles!! And because Jordan Brand and Nike have a big fan base there, it’s natural for a pair of kicks to drop in the occasion!

Jordan 6 Singles day - yeezy 500 black

The new Jordan 6 Singles Day features a black upper with Chinese-inspired detailing and black suede overlays. The only dash of color we can find is on the tongue with the burgundy design and gold Jumpman! The kicks will drop on November 25, 2020, and will retail for $210. However, if you miss out on the release of the kicks, the resale is about $260. So not really a bad bargain.

Pharrell NMD Hu White

So we’ve already established the fact that Pharrell’s kicks are making a comeback in the last months of 2020. And if you wanna check the details out, you can find them here. The new Pharrell NMD HUs are will come dressed in all-white from top to bottom. However, on the inside, the sockliner is all black! A pretty cool mix if you wanna up your sneaker game this holiday season. The kicks will drop on November 25, 2020, for $220. And if you manage to take an L, the resale will be around $300+, depending on what size you wear!

Pharrell NMD Hu White - yeezy 500 black

Jordan 4 Fire Red

An OG colorway that’s making a reappearance this year! We love an awesome pair of sneakers. Jordan Brand retroed the 1989 pair in 2006 under Mars Blackmon. The second retro came in 2012, so this is actually the third retro we’ll get! The kicks feature a white leather upper with red and black detailing. We can expect them to release on November 28, 2020, retailing for $200. You can find it on the aftermarket though, for an average of $270.

jordan 4 fire red - yeezy 500 black

Yeezy 380 Onyx

Finally, a Yeezy! And apparently, Kanye is taking Black Friday to boot with black sneakers to match. The upcoming kicks feature a black Primeknit upper and a translucent Boost midsole shell. The pair will be available both in reflective and non-reflective iterations. The reflective pair will feature 3M detailing. Moreover, it’ll be the first to make an appearance on Black Friday, November 27, 2020. The kicks will retail for $250. And if you miss on them, the resale value stands at an average of $700, which is expected for reflective pairs!

Yeezy 380 Onyx RF - yeezy 500 black

On the other hand, the non-reflective iteration of the sneakers will follow on November 28. It will also retail for $220, that’s $30 less than the reflective pair. And you can also find it on the aftermarket for around $300. The second pair we’re waiting for is Yeezy 500 Black, but we’ll cover that later!

Yeezy 380 Onyx Non ref - yeezy 500 black

Jordan 1 High Black and Gold

Okay so, patent leather is an excellent choice for winter looks. But that doesn’t mean that the kicks can’t look stylish when you wear them! In fact, sneakers like this are pretty in and we like flexing them. Air Jordan 1 will feature a metallic gold and patent black upper. We can also see hits of gold on the collar on the wings and swoosh. The midsole will come in black with gold stitching. So all in all, the kicks look like something we’d rock without a second thought! You can cop these on November 30, 2020, for $170. However, cool Jordans are always difficult to cop, so if you miss, you can pay around $350 in resale! And don’t forget to check out the blindingly shiny Jordan 1 Gold Mid, it’s pretty.

Jordan 1 Black Gold - yeezy 500 black

Yeezy 500 Black

The third pair of Yeezys in one week! It must be the holiday season! The Yeezy 500 Black isn’t really new. This is gonna be one of the many Yeezy restocks over the years. Although it’s one of the rare Yeezy silhouettes without Boost cushioning, it’s still popular as heck! The kicks originally dropped back in July 2018, and this marks the first restock of the colorway ever. Well, that’s unless you wanna count Yeezy day in 2019 which is a whole other story! The kicks are set to drop on November 30, 2020, for $200. But if you can’t wait for that long, the kicks are available on the aftermarket for at least $360. So we’d recommend copping them at retail using NSB!

Yeezy 500 Black Utility

Supreme Anti-Hero Collab

Well, there’s not much news about this week’s release yet. However, what we know is enough to leave us feeling the excitement! The release this week won’t take place on Thursday due to Thanksgiving. Instead, it’s going to be, conveniently, on Black Friday! We still don’t know if Supreme’s masterplan is to break the internet, but we’re half sure this is gonna happen. The collab’s name is “Atmosphere Urine”, which is an anagram of Supreme and Anti-Hero combined. We’re not judging, but really?! Anyway, we hope it’s gonna be worth that name, but you make sure to cook with NSB this drop and everything else!

Now that the first half of 2020 is over, we’re all turning our heads towards the fall season. So Jordan Brand decided, just in time, to give us a peek at the upcoming releases. And we gotta say, there’s something in there for everyone! Whether you like muted tones or popping colors, you got it. But make sure you know the Air Jordan history to fully appreciate the upcoming Jordan lineup!

Jordan Lineup Fall 2020

Jordan Lineup Fall 2020

Disclaimer: Release dates, if known, are subject to change at any time. After all, is it really a hype release if it doesn’t get a date change?

Air Jordan 1 Smoke Grey

Click here for the full article covering the Smoke Greys. This is the first drop we’re expecting from the upcoming Jordan lineup! The kicks will drop on July 11, 2020, and will retail for $170. Their average resale is about $375 which is a really good number if you’re flipping!

Jordan Lineup - Jordan 1 Grey Smoke

Jordan 1 Snakeskin (W)

Ever had a sense of Deja-Vu but can’t really pinpoint it? Well, we certainly pinpoint where we’ve seen this pair before! It’s an alternative take on the Air Jordan 1 Satin Black toe. The new fancy “Satin Snake” comes in a red leather toe and black faux-snakeskin overlays. Finally, red satin makes up the sockliner and tongue! A potential release date for the kicks is August 6, 2020. They’ll probably retail for $170. And if they’re half as successful as the Satin Black toe, then you must add them to your must-cop list! And if you’re into the wild textures, we hope you copped the Jordan 3 Animal Instinct 2.0!

Jordan Lineup - Jordan 1 Snakeskin

CO.JP Jordan 1 Metallic Silver

A shiny pair that made us all envy sneakerheads who lived in Japan back in 2001! The 2001 edition was a Japan-exclusive, and only 2,001 pairs were available. Each pair had a number from 1 to 2,001 and came in a special metallic box. 19 years later, these kicks are part of the Jordan lineup for fall 2020 and are releasing globally. However, the Japanese edition will be limited to 2,020 numbered pairs and the metallic shoebox! The Jordan 1s are supposedly dropping on July 25, 2020, for $170.

Jordan Lineup - Jordan 1 Japan Grey

Air Jordan 1 High “Bio Hack”

You can simply call it AJ1 “Tokyo” because the colors are inspired by the capital city! Moreover, some of the credit behind the colorway can go to 2005’s UNDFTD x Nike Dunk High. The 2005 kicks can sill for as high as $2,000, so will the Jordan 1s live up to the colorful legacy? The kicks will drop on September 5, 2020, and retail for $170.

Jordan Lineup - Jordan 1 Biohack

Air Jordan 3 Laser Orange (W)

So women’s sneakers are just on a roll this year! Some of the coolest colorways, like the Tie Dyes, were women-exclusive in 2020. The new Jordan 3 is joining the lady ranks too in a white leather upper and laser orange midsole pair! But don’t worry, the kicks will feature the classic elephant print we love. We can expect this pair to drop on August 21, 2020, for $190.

Jordan Lineup - Jordan 3 Laser Orange

Air Jordan 3 Denim

The Jordan lineup includes another AJ3. Air Jordan 3 Denim also comes in a white leather upper in addition to red leather on the collar. However, the elephant print will be in denim this time! And what’s better than one brand logo on the heel tab? Two! The kicks will include translucent heel tabs with the Jumpman logo on it and the Nike logo underneath in red. A Japan-only version will include Nike Air branding in Japanese on the heel tab! The kicks will drop on August 1, 2020, for a retail price of $190.

Jordan Lineup - Jordan 3 Denim

Jordan 5 “Oregon Ducks”

The school team theme seems to be in for the last year at Nike headquarters. We can still remember 2019’s Air Jordan 5 Michigan! This time the kicks will drop in a green suede upper with yellow shark teen on a black midsole. The drop date is set to September 12, 2020, for a $225 price tag.

Jordan Lineup - Jordan 5 Oregon

Jordan 6 Black (W)

Aaaand another women-exclusive pair of kicks! They really got it going in the lady domain at Jordan this year! This drop though is as classy as can be. The kicks feature a black and grey suede upper with a white translucent midsole! The colorway screams classy and would look amazing with anything from sportswear to formals. There are no release details on this one yet but we’ll update you once there is!

Jordan Lineup - Jordan 6 Smoke Grey

Two New Jordan 12s!

Next on the Jordan lineup for fall 2020 are two interesting colorways of the Air Jordan 12. The first colorway is the “University Gold”, similar to Gary Payton’s 2003 PE 12s. The kicks feature an amazing black and yellow upper. The kicks are hopefully dropping on July 24, 2020!

Jordan Lineup - Jordan 12 university gold

The second pair throws a summer vibe on with an indigo and white upper! This pair, however, is dropping on August 8, 2020. Both pairs will retail for $190!

Jordan Lineup - Jordan 12 indigo

Jordan 13 “Lucky Green”

Never has a shoe resembled a clover more than this one! Although the majority of the upper is in white leather, the green is popping somehow. The look though is complete with a matte black midsole. So if you’re feeling lucky, this pair is for you. But unfortunately, you have to wait till September 26, 2020! This pair will also retail for $190.

Jordan Lineup - Jordan 13 lucky green

Jordan 14 “Royal”

Last, but definitely not least. The sports car-inspired silhouette dress in a royal colorway this time! The upper features a classy white leather upper, but the action goes on in the midsole! In fact, the midsole is eye-catching with the glossy royal blue color! The kicks are set to release in the fall of 2020, so stay alert for more details!

Jordan Lineup - Jordan 14 Royal

And that’s a wrap for the Fall 2020 Jordan lineup! We’ll make sure to keep you updated on any new release info. In the meantime, check out the upcoming Off White x Air Jordan 4!

This is not your usual blog post, friends. Today, we’re discussing the legacy that started back in 1984 and is still going on, almost 4 decades later. The rookie with a bright future in the NBA became one of the biggest ballers and sneaker brand owners on and off the basketball court. Michael Jordan definitely left a mark on everyone’s hearts and memories. So let’s get down to business, and check out everything there is to know about the history of the Air Jordan line!

Michael “Air” Jordan

Michael Jeffrey Jordan was born in Brooklyn New York in 1963. He was an athletic kid and grew up earning a basketball scholarship at different universities. He went for the UNC basketball scholarship where his career took off. In 1984, Jordan made it to the NBA draft and was the 3rd overall pick made by the Chicago Bulls. His high athleticism earned him the nicknames “Air Jordan” and “His Airness” among many others. However, as important as he was on the hardwood floor, Jordan bypassed the court and became a cultural icon. He still stands as the debate subject of whether he or LeBron James is the GOAT. And that’s whether you were a Bull or not!

Basketball Career

If you were doing your homework after watching “The Last Dance” on Netflix, you’d know that during Jordan’s playing years, the Chicago Bulls won a double three-peat! The first three-peat happened in the 1991 – 1993 seasons. After winning the 1992 – 1993 season, Jordan went into retirement but came back less than 2 years later.
Upon returning, the Chicago Bulls managed to hit another three-peat during the 1995 – 1998 seasons. Due to management tension and differences, 1998 was Phil Jackson’s last year coaching the Bulls. But Jordan would play for nobody else, and his second retirement ensued.

air jordan timeline

After his second retirement, Michael Jordan became the president of basketball operations for the Washington Wizards in 2000. However, in late 2001 he came back again from his retirement to play for the Wizards. Finally, Jordan retired for the third and final time in 2003 and the age of 41. Today, many years after his final retirement, Air Jordan is still leaving a print in every basketball fan and sneakerhead’s heart.

How Did the Air Jordan Collaboration Start?Air Jordan Nike

We can’t really separate Jordan’s basketball career from the deal with Nike. However, we’ll focus on the business side of things here.

As a rookie, Jordan initially wanted to sign with Adidas and didn’t even want to be with Nike because he didn’t like their shoes. He preferred kicks that were closer to the ground, Nike’s were high in his opinion.

However, Adidas declined the offer because they “couldn’t make a shoe work”. Converse didn’t think they needed a rookie when they had major deals with stars like Magic Johnson and Larry Bird.

Nike was eager for a basketball endorsement, mainly because, back then, it had a reputation for being a track shoe company.

So after taking his parents’ advice and visiting Nike’s headquarters, Jordan was offered a $500,000/5 years deal with his own shoe line: the Air Jordan! According to Jordan, his father told him that he’d be a fool not to take this deal. MJ ended up signing that deal, and the rest is history!

Nike expected the Air Jordan 1 to bring in a revenue of around $3 million in the first four years. But Jordan Brand, just like its namesake, brought in $126 million the first year alone!

The company went from being the underdog in the basketball industry to dominating 68.3% of the shoes worn in the NBA in 2020! And that’s partly thanks to the 1984 Jordan collaboration.

The Silhouettes

Air Jordan I: Where It All Started

Now here is an interesting story. In 1985, Michael Jordan was a rookie with a bright future in the NBA. So Nike gave him kicks fit for a star, which ultimately the NBA banned and fined Jordan $5,000 for wearing them. That’s the story we know though. But the truth is, the NBA banned a similar “bred” pair: the Nike Air Ship! However, Nike and Jordan Brand won’t admit it.. but we know. And we’re just waiting for the day when the OG Nike Air Ship will be up for auction. Will it top Jordan’s game-worn half-million AJ1s? Air Jordan 1 currently exists in high, mid, and low cuts.

Air Jordan 1

Air Jordan II

The second installment of Air Jordan kicks was dubbed the “Italian Stallion”. The kicks were made in Italy with faux lizard skin. The silhouette was Bruce Kilgore’s last design with Peter Moore, the OG Jordan 1 designer. To those who don’t know him, Kilgore is the mind behind the iconic Air Force 1. The kicks dropped in a high and low cut. After losing the OG molds (or being stolen, rumors went wild there), Jordan Brand managed to find one of the molds and retroed the kicks for the first time in 2004!

Air Jordan 2

Air Jordan III

The first-ever Jordan design by Tinker Hatfield. He eventually ended up designing 21 out of the 34 Jordan silhouettes! Actually, a lot of firsts took place with this shoe. The Jumpman logo made its first appearance on the tongue along with the elephant print which became a symbol of the Jordan 3s.

Air Jordan 3

Air Jordan IV

Michael Jordan took “The Shot” wearing the 4s and helped the Chicago Bulls win the playoffs against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The kicks also made their appearance in Spike Lee’s movie “Do the Right Thing”. The wings gave people the ability to lace the kicks in a lot of different ways.

Air Jordan 4

Air Jordan V

Tinker Hatfield took the word “Attack” to boot with this silhouette. MJ’s playstyle inspired Hatfield to design kicks as ferocious as the wearer. The shark-teeth design on the midsole is a clear giveaway!

Air Jordan 5

Air Jordan VI

Jordan’s first NBA Championship title and the Air Jordan 6 go hand in hand. And we all know that everything about MJ is inspiring, even his sports car, which was the inspo behind the kicks. The AJ6 introduced the car spoiler-looking heel tab, to make wearing the kicks easier.

Air Jordan 6

Air Jordan VII

The “Dream Team” nailed the 1992 Barcelona Olympics that year. And that called for a new pair of kicks! The colorful Air Jordan 7 was the first pair of Jordans to be marketed independently from Nike basketball!

Air Jordan 7

Air Jordan VIII

The last pair of kicks that Michael Jordan wore before his first retirement. He was also wearing these shoes when the Chicago Bulls claimed their place among the big boys! They were the third team in the history of the game to manage to win three titles back to back.

Air Jordan 8

Air Jordan IX

After his first retirement, MJ went on to the baseball Minor League and played for the White Sox. Jerry Reinsdorf, the owner of the Bulls, also owned the White Sox and kept Jordan’s deal running although he wasn’t playing basketball. However, the kicks kept on coming and we got the brand-new Air Jordan 9.

Air Jordan 9

Air Jordan X

Tinker Hatfield designed this silhouette during MJ’s retirement. The kicks from collar to sole were a tribute to Jordan’s relatively short career. But Michael Jordan ended up wearing this pair when “he was back” in the 1994-95 season.

Air Jordan 10

Air Jordan XI

This is maybe one of the most elegant pairs of Air Jordans. With Jordan back on the court ready to win his fourth ring, the kicks and their patent leather were eye-catching. AJ11 is still a favorite among sneakerheads everywhere.

Air Jordan 11

Air Jordan XII

Michael Jordan made history in the 1996-97 season. He took his team to win their fifth title and start prepping up for a second three-peat! The build of this pair is just ahead of its time and was also elegant enough to be worn on and off the court.

Air Jordan 12

Air Jordan XIII

The silhouette that took Jordan’s nickname “Black Cat” to boot! Tinker Hatfield designed this pair with the intention of making a physical interpretation of MJ’s stealth and speed. The added bonus of this pair is that MJ wore them during the 1997-98 season on their way to snatch their sixth title!

Air Jordan 13

Air Jordan XIV

Or as we would like to call it, “The Last One”. It’s actually the last pair of kicks that Jordan wore during his time with the Chicago Bulls. Tinker Hatfield asked MJ to not wear the sample kicks, but he couldn’t resist their look! So just as Jordan managed to earn the legend title, he made the silhouette legendary. It’s worth noting that this silhouette is one of the most comfortable Jordans ever.

Air Jordan 14

Air Jordan XV

Jordan retires, again. However, Air Jordan is far from doing that. This silhouette took the Air Jordan line in a new direction without earning any playtime on MJ’s feet. It actually paid tribute to the X-15 fighter jet, the world’s fastest manned aircraft. Jordan’s protruding tongue when he went for the dunk also made it to the actual tongue of the kicks! Moreover, the kicks featured a Kevlar fiber upper. Kevlar is a strong heat-resistant fiber, that provides high performance and protection.

Air Jordan 15

Air Jordan XVI

With the new Millennium, new designs emerge. For more than a decade, that was the first time someone other than Tinker Hatfield designed an Air Jordan. Wilson Smith decided to merge business life and ball life together since Jordan went on to pursue an office position with the Washington Wizards. The magnetic shroud on the Air Jordan 16 gave the kicks a formal look while removing it would make you ready for an after-work game with friends!

Air Jordan 16

Air Jordan XVII

The return of the legend to the game once again required a new pair of kicks. And that’s how AJ 17 came to life. The inspiration behind this pair was Jordan’s improvisation skills, his love for Jazz, and his Aston Martin. Because why not? It was the most expensive Jordan release. But then again, how many times will we get a metal briefcase and a CD-Rom with the kicks?

Air Jordan 17

Air Jordan XVIII

On April 16, 2003, Jordan gave his last performance and retired for good. Air Jordan 18 was the last pair to make it to the court on His Airness’s feet. I was another sports car-inspired pair of sneakers. The OG AJ 18 “Black Royal” colorway came with a driver’s manual, a brush, and a towel.

Air Jordan 18

Air Jordan XIX

A design fit for flight. Before Kobe Bryant adopted the Black Mamba nickname, the poisonous snake was the muse behind the Air Jordan 19. The Tech-Flex upper made its first appearance on this silhouette to provide added flexibility to the wearer.

Air Jordan 19

Air Jordan XX

With Tinker Hatfield back at the helm, he and Jordan were planning something special! To celebrate 20 years of amazing shoes and a legendary brand. The icons we can see on the upper tell the story of Michael Jordan’s legendary career. Moreover, 69 dots on the midsole are a tribute to MJ’s high score game.

Air Jordan 20

Air Jordan XXI

A sneaker that’s worthy of special agents! At first glance, the kicks look like any other basketball shoe. However, upon closer inspection, we can see the premium leather and carbon fiber that make up the kicks. The most intriguing bit about this pair of kicks is the hidden message that shows up only under black light!

Air Jordan 21

Air Jordan XX2

Gone the days of the “fight or flight” mode. Air Jordan 22 screamed fight and flight! The silhouette took inspiration from the F-22 Raptor fighter jet. The radar-like zig-zag stitching on the side mimics the plane’s ability to deflect being discovered. The kicks featured the first titanium shank plate. (PS: Titanium’s atomic number is 22!)

Air Jordan 22

Air Jordan XX3

The 23rd kicks materialized a legend’s DNA for the legacy’s 23rd year! So many details make this pair a treasure to own. The stitching is shaped like DNA, MJ’s own fingerprint is on the inside of the tongue and the outsole. Finally, we can find his autograph on the toe of the kicks. The extra bonus is the fact that Air Jordan 23 is the world’s first sustainable basketball shoe.

Air Jordan 23

Air Jordan 2009

The first pair of sneakers to use the release year as a name. The upper of Air Jordan 2009 looks like a fencing uniform if you look at it closely. Why? Because Michel Jordan believes that one-on-one defense is pretty much like fencing! It is also the second Jordan to be part of the Considered Design.

Air Jordan 24 (2009)

Air Jordan 2010

The transparent TPU circular panels on the 24th installation of Air jordans are a nod to MJ’s power to see through opponents. Now we can see where Virgil Abloh got his Air Jordan 5 inspo from! The midsole hides Jordan’s famous quote: “I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”

Air Jordan 25 (2010)

Air Jordan 2011

This is the closest we could get to customizable Jordans. The AJ 2011 featured interchangeable midsoles: blue Zoom Air Units for quickness and red Air Unit for explosive play. Each player can choose the midsole depending on their way of playing. According to the designers, that’s similar to selecting your weapon of choice before the battle.

Air Jordan 26 (2011)

Air Jordan 2012

Well, zoot suits came back in 2012 in the shape of a pair of Air Jordans. However, the inside of the kicks features three different midsole options: “Quick”, “Air”, or “Explosive”. The player has the freedom to make the shoe that fits their game!

Air Jordan 27

Air Jordan XX8

“Never judge a book by its cover.” This saying fits the 28th installation of Air Jordans. Underneath a zip-up boot-like casing, sits a lightweight responsive shoe. Tinker Hatfield said that the aim was to change the way basketball kicks look and perform.

Air Jordan 28

Air Jordan XX9

With a 100% woven upper, the Air Jordan 29 was even lighter than its predecessors. With a redesigned Flight Plate that connects the forefoot and heel, the kicks were taking basketball shoes to a new level of responsiveness and cushioning.

Air Jordan 29

Air Jordan XXX

The genius of Tinker Hatfield is the gift that keeps on giving. The upper of the pair number 30 transforms the “XXX” into a basketball net. The stars were a nod to MJ’s otherworldly talents because he is the first and foremost source of inspiration for the sneakers. Finally, the tongues featured the African and North American continents.

Air Jordan 30

Air Jordan XXXI

This silhouette is plain and simple a modern take on the OG of the OGs, Air Jordan I. The Jordan Wings logo is there, but so are the swoosh and the Jumpman! The sole tributes the first AJI Bred colorway with “BANNED” written on it. And just when we thought basketball couldn’t get any lighter, Air Jordan 30 flips the table over!

Air Jordan 31

Air Jordan XXXII

Another tribute to OG Air Jordans, but this time, it’s the legendary Air Jordan II. However, despite being inspired by AJ2, the kicks feature an innovative design and modern technology. Designer Tate Kuerbis managed to merge premium materials with performance. So when you wear AJ32, you not only look good but you feel it too! The kicks dropped in both high and low cuts.

Air Jordan 32

Air Jordan XXXIII

The 33rd pair of Jordans took flight literally with the silhouette borrowing details from space flight suits. A FlightSpeed Plate and Zoom Air Unit provide the propulsion every baller needs when they take off for that dunk. Meanwhile. The FastFit system gives the wearer the ultimate support. Talk about innovation!

Air Jordan 33

Air Jordan XXXIV

The last, but definitely not least, pair on our list. AJ34 took everything from the 33 previous models and molded them into the ultimate control, responsiveness, and lightness! With visible Zoom Air technology (which is a first), the kicks help athletes to fly high while keeping their stability.

Air Jordan 34

Air Jordan XXXV

2020 was a lot of things, but definitely not boring. With everyone’s lives flipped upside down thanks to Covid and quarantine, the sneaker industry was booming. People who had extra time and money decided to invest that cash in different places, and the sneaker industry was a great option. And despite all the delays and technicalities, Jordan Brand managed to launch the Air Jordan 35. In addition to modern tech, JB took inspiration from the AJ5 in details like the tongue! So all in all, the kicks were a cool mashup of the past and present.

air jordan 35 NSB

Air Jordan XXXVI

With 2020 coming and going, another Air Jordan silhouette made its debut in 2021. The 36s didn’t fall too far from the 35s if we’re completely honest. Besides the little technical improvements like the new Eclipse 3.0 plate, the silhouettes are very identical to each other. The silhouette also includes details that we’ve previously seen in Russel Westbrook’s sneakers! Finally, there’s a nod to the Jordan 6, like the heel and lace covers.

Jordan 36 NSB

Air Jordan XXXVII

The freshest sneakers so far! Although the previous silhouettes were impressive in terms of sneaker tech, the kicks looked pretty similar. However, the Air Jordan 37 broke away from the previous silhouettes and brought its own flair to the game! From the upper to the geometrical details, the silhouette is obviously a modern take on the Jordan 7. And guess what – the carbon shank made a comeback with these babies, which is the first time it does since the AJ32. So, all in all, the sneakers are a successful mix of speed and flight!

Best Jordan Sneakers Backstories

Air Jordan 12 “Flu Game”

Air Jordan backstories

Words don’t make you the best in the game, actions do. That’s what we learned from Jordan the day he played his match while fighting flu-like symptoms on June 11, 1997. Jordan managed to drop 38 points on Utah Jazz and lead the series 3 -2. However, by the end of the game, he was so exhausted that he ended up being helped out of the court by Scottie Pippen. The kicks dropped again in 2003, 2009, and 2016. The “Flu Game” 12 is also one of the best red Jordans to exist!

Air Jordan 1 “Shattered Backboard”

We all know that Shaquille O’Neal has the reputation of being the backboard breaker, but Jordan had his share of a shattered backboard! In 1986, during an exhibition game in Italy, Jordan delivered a dunk so powerful it shattered the backboard. Glass shards rained over the players and an Air Jordan colorway was born years later! The black and orange are actually the color of the uniform His Airness was wearing. For detailed info about the kicks, click here.

Air Jordan 1 “Royal Blue”

A colorway that never made it to the court on Jordan’s feet. Yet, it became one of the Air Jordan 1s coolest colorways. It’s one of the OG 1985 colorways, and Jordan wore them with a matching black and blue flight suit. Moreover, the same outfit was seen on Jordan on the deck of a ship while playing with the villains of the Hare Jordan commercial! The kicks restocked several times, the latest being a rework of the colorway that dropped in 2020.

Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam”

Do we really need to explain this? Along with Hare Jordan, Air Jordan wore a special colorway in the 1996 movie Space Jam. However, Jordan rocked the pair earlier during the 1995 playoffs. The kicks restocked in 2000, 2009, 2016, and 2017. According to Nike, the 2017 Space Jam 11s were their most successful sneakers ever!

Air Jordan 11 “Bred”

For the full story of the Breds, check this out. But in short, this was the pair Jordan was wearing when he won his fourth ring (the first after returning from retirement though). However, it was a bittersweet moment for MJ because it was his first win after his dad’s tragic death. But little did the basketball world, the Bulls were on their way to a second three-peat!

Best Air Jordan Collaborations

Collaborations have been a major part of Jordan Brand’s popularity and a huge selling point. That’s obvious because the most expensive kicks are mostly collabs! However, some collaborations stand out more than others. So now we’re going to talk about the best Air Jordan collaborations:

Travis Scott x Air Jordan

Air Jordan collabs

It’s true that Travis has an extensive history of collabs, but his signature Jordan sneakers were groundbreaking in every way! With a massive fanbase and sneakerheads on the lookout, every drop is a battleground for the cook. However, if you actually manage to cop any Travis Scott signature kicks, flipping them is worth a small fortune. Our personal favorite pair is the Air Jordan 1 with the reverse swoosh!

Release Date: 5/11/2019
Retail Price: $175
Average Resale Value: $1,300

Off-White x Jordan

Virgil Abloh, the streetwear icon, took a bunch of Nike sneakers and deconstructed them in 2017. But naturally, the most popular design would end up being a pair of Air Jordans. He made a name for himself in the sneaker industry. However, as time passes, Virgil and his designs evolve. The most obvious example is his latest drop, the Air Jordan 5, which took a sentimental detour there. But that doesn’t stop us from putting him among the top 3 Jordan collaborators! Our, and probably the industry’s, favorite pair of Off-White x Jordans is the deconstructed Chicago Air Jordan 1!

Release Date: 9/9/2017
Retail Price: $190
Average Resale Value: $3,831

Jordan x KAWS

A collaboration that we can never really forget. This collab managed to blur the line between art and sports. Although the artist Brian Donnelly isn’t a sneakerhead himself, he created a pair of kicks that made every sneakerhead in the world want it. Two Air Jordan 4s dropped, but we love the OG Cool Grey collab. The kicks feature a full grey suede upper with all the KAWS detailings we love! The kicks dropped along with special apparel and were very exclusive.

Release Date: 3/31/2017
Retail Price: $350
Average Resale Value: $1,673

Trophy Room x Air Jordan

A Jordan-on-Jordan collab! MJ’s son, Marcus Jordan, is the owner of Trophy Room, the shop that takes you to Jordan’s trophy room without really being there. So it’s natural for the two brands to collaborate on many different Air Jordan kicks. Our favorite Air Jordan x Trophy room collab unfortunately never made it to the public! It’s the F&F Trophy Room x Air Jordan 4.

Last Decade’s Most Expensive Air Jordans

Air Jordan 4 x Eminem “Encore” (2017)

The original version of this pair dates back to 2005. 50 pairs were made for the artist’s friends and family to celebrate his fifth album “Encore” which dropped in late 2004. 12 years later, the kicks dropped once again, and they somehow were even more exclusive! Only 23 pairs were available for purchase.

Release Date: 12/15/2017
Average Resale Value: $18,000

Air Jordan 11 “Jeter”

Most Expensive Air Jordan

Derek Jeter is a Major League Baseball player who played his entire career for the New York Yankees. As a tribute to him, Jordan brand dropped 5 pairs of Air Jordan 11 in his name. The kicks featured a navy suede upper and semi-translucent white outsole. The heels feature Jeter’s number “2”  throughout his career. The 5 pairs were available via a scratch-off auction at a pop-up store next to the Yankee Stadium.

Release Date: 5/14/2017
Average Resale Value: $18,257

Travis Scott x Air Jordan 4 (F&F)

Who doesn’t want to be La Flame’s friend since 2018? When Chase B (Travis’ DJ) rocked the pair during the Cactus Jack block party, the public went absolutely crazy! We all had hopes that this would be the second Travis Scott x Air Jordan collaboration. However, the kicks stayed exclusive to friends and family.

Release Date: Unreleased
Average Resale Value: $13,250

Air Jordan 4 x Eminem x Carhartt

With Shady Records turning 15, Eminem teamed up once again with Jordan Brand to release a new pair of kicks. The kicks featured a black Carhartt upper and chrome wings. The kicks were sold on eBay via auction. All proceeds went to the Marshall Mathers Foundation.

Release Date: 11/23/2015
Average Resale Value: $10,200

Air Jordan 1 x Fragment (F&F)

When Jordan Brand and Hiroshi Fujiwara decide to collaborate, we know it’s gonna be explosive. And when the pair of Air Jordan 1 dropped in the blue colorway with the Fragment stamp, we loved it! However, little did we know that there will be a friend & family version and another public version. The difference between the two is the fragment motif on the heels. The motif on the F&F jordans is embossed in black. The public release has a tonal embossing. The differences may be subtle, but the resale value speaks for itself.

Best Women’s Air Jordans

Air Jordans have been a cultural icon ever since MJ signed that deal with Nike. However, women sneakerheads weren’t as lucky as men if they wanted to pamper themselves. Today, women’s sneakers are becoming more popular, they’re even making men jealous sometimes! Although that step came a bit late, it’s better late than never. How to Wear Your Jordans

Thanks to their versatility, the 34 different silhouettes, and the countless colorways, you’re free to wear Jordans in any way! Air Jordan sneakers can be worn with almost anything from casual, to formal, to game looks. There are also high, mid, and low tops, so there’s something for everyone! However, if you want some extra tips, check out our detailed guide on how to wear Jordans here.

How to Take Care of Your Air Jordans

If you’re looking for a general sneaker-cleaning guide, check this out. However, if you want some Jordan-specific tips and tricks, you came to the right place!

LacesAir Jordan Laces Cleaning

  • The first rule is to remove all visible stains and dirt with a brush.
  • White laces: Put them in a bucket full of water with a teeny tiny amount of bleach (3 tbsps). Oh, and you better wear gloves for that.
  • Colored laces/with prints: Bleach is a no-no. Soak the laces in a bucket of water with a little bit of liquid soap, then stir them.
  • The golden rule is to let the laces air dry, never blow dry them! And make sure they are 100% dry before re-lacing your kicks.

Air Jordan Insole CleaningInsoles

  • Remove the insoles and air them out.
  • Use a soft brush to remove dirt and whatnot.
  • Prepare the cleaning solution by mixing a few drops of dishwashing liquid or cleaning serum in a bucket of hot water.
  • Clean the insoles with the soft brush after dipping it in the solution. (Make sure you use a circular motion)
  • After removing the soap with a cloth, leave the insoles to air dry.

Leather UppersAir Jordan Upper Cleaning

  • Start by stuffing your jordans with a balled-up cloth.
  • Mix cool water and some sneaker-cleaning serum in a bowl.
  • Using a soft brush, gently clean the uppers with the solution. You don’t wanna ruin the leather, do you? (Circular motions my friend)
  • Scrub the midsoles with a hard brush to remove all the dirt.

For suede uppers, check out this video!

Air Jordan Outsole Cleaning

Outsoles

  • To finish off the cleaning process, redo the cool water-cleaning serum mix.
  • Start off with a superficial cleansing using a hard brush to remove the obvious dirt.
  • For the stubborn filth in the cracks, clean the hard brush, and go through every one of them thoroughly.

Once you’re done cleaning the whole shoe, time to dry it! Pat the Jordans with a microfiber cloth, and then leave them to dry on their own!

The Last Dance

Netflix and ESPN took care of Jordanheads the same way they’d take care of their kicks: THE BEST WAY. They teamed up to give us what’s arguably the greatest sports docuseries to ever bless our screens. The Last Dance is one of the rare shows that unite the whole world. However, the effect of the series went beyond sports and slithered its way into the sneaker industry. And if you wanna know how it affected the industry, read this.

The Future of Air Jordan in the Industry

To wrap up, Air Jordans (especially earlier silhouettes) always have been hype-worthy kicks. However, some releases are not as popular as others. This is one of the major things that influence their resale value. Moreover, a general release with a high stock will likely result in a lower aftermarket value. But you always get that valuable exclusive pair or very popular collab or sentimental pair! You can read more about how to spot hype kicks here.

Air Jordan Future

As for the future, Jordan Brand has made it clear to the sneaker industry that it’s here to stay. And with the latest shift in the industry following Adidas and Ye’s breakup, Jordans are further cementing their presence. To make sure that happens, they’re regularly inking more and more athletes, celebs, and artists! The diversity and interesting campaigns are a sure way to keep the brand alive and strong for a long time. And finally, as long as Michael Jordan’s basketball legacy lives on, so will Air Jordan sneakers.

Odds are, every OG sneakerhead and basketball fan in this world was tuned in to Netflix every Sunday evening. But now that the dust settled and the docu-series ended, we’re talking numbers. To be exact, we’re going to discuss how beneficial The Last Dance was to Jordan Brand and sneaker sales overall. And as always Jordans are dropping, and we’re discussing the flip worthy kicks that’ll require a bot to handle!

The last Dance Nike

The Last Dance Does Nike a Favor!

We have to give it to Nike, they’ve got a heck of a marketing team! Their commercials were always some of the best in the sneaker industry. So when The Last Dance aired around the world, it was natural for Nike to have a part in it. After all, Jordan’s name and Nike go hand-in-hand since the mid-80s. But even knowing that info, we couldn’t fight the appeal of the OGs when we saw them on screens!

the last dance footage

It’s as simple as this: The Last Dance presented a golden opportunity for sneaker sales. We definitely noticed that when Nike dropped the OG Jordan 5 Fire Reds! The drop happened just before the last two episodes aired and the kicks sold out really fast. However, that was the only time Nike actually did a sale stunt, which is surprising.

AJ5 Fire Red The last dance

Did the Sneaker Giant Lose a Golden Chance?

The Last Dance documentary was a huge opportunity for Nike and Jordan Brand. However, the companies kinda missed out on that. We all remember 2018’s Superbowl halftime show when Nike and Justin Timberlake dropped the Jordan 3 bomb!

Justin Timberlake The Last Dance

But we can understand where the reluctance really comes from. Lockdown was a huge hit to Nike, especially that it’s the leading sneaker brand in sales. Actually, it was a hit to every company that deals with anything outdoors. With all factories and transportation on hold, production dropped, and so did sales. So maybe they didn’t think that’s the best time to do a huge release and marketing stunts.

The Secondary Market Booming Thanks to The Last Dance

During the airing of The Last Dance, the show focused on some of the silhouettes Jordan rocked throughout his career and the beginning of the Nike partnership. But in reality, what The Last Dance did was expand the golden Bulls era to a generation that wasn’t even born when Jordan was still on the hardwood floor. Teens and youngsters got to witness the greatness of the GOAT and relive the best moment on screen. This big throwback managed to grow the sentimental value within the new generation. And the effect was immediate on resale platforms!

Air Jordan 1 Chicago – 2015

Air Jordan 1 Chicago first debuted in 1985, and it’s as close to priceless as it can get. The proof of that is Jordan’s own game-worn 1985 pair. The kicks sold on an online auction for $560,000! However, the 2015 edition wasn’t as successful. Mind you, it’s still considered a very successful retro! But when an episode of The Last Dance focused on that exact colorway, the resale value reached a new high of almost $2,000!

A General Boost of Sales!

The Air Jordan 1 Chicago wasn’t the only pair of kicks that went through the sale boost. In fact, sales of Jordan sneakers and memorabilia drastically increased. But not only Jordan related items are soaring. In fact, Scottie Pippen’s sneakers are getting very popular lately.

New Jordan Releases Post “The Last Dance” Era

Will new Jordan kicks have a different taste now? We always love some retro-ed colorways but also welcome new ones. So let’s take a look at the upcoming releases!

Air Jordan 13 “Flint”

We already discussed this pair here. However, no harm in a recap! This colorway is probably the best one, after the Breds naturally. And it doesn’t do any harm that this is the silhouette MJ rocked they year Chicago Bulls earned their second three-peat! So we can all expect the demand to be high on these. The Flints will drop on May 30, 2020, and will retail for $190. Finally, they’re dropping in full family sizes, so you could match your outfit with the family!

The last dance AJ13 flint

Air Jordan 6 “Hare”

The colorway is true to the OG Air Jordan 7 Hare, which was made in honor of the soon-to-be star of Space Jam! Of course, we meant Bugs Bunny. This year, Jordan Brand decided to tribute the kicks and the stars by dropping a brand new Air Jordan 6 on June 5. The kicks will feature a plain white upper and will retail for $190. But this doesn’t mean that they’re dull because the tongue and outsole are as feisty as Bugs himself!

Air Jordan 3 “Animal Instinct”

Who doesn’t like to let their wild side out? Featuring a mix of animal prints and materials, the upcoming Jordan 3 is the second installment of the Animal pack. So on June 6, 2020, you better be ready to cop, or you’ll miss it!

Will The Last Dance Opportunity Go to Waste?

Although the Nike part in this whole story was underwhelming, we know what the company is capable of. And we also know that someday, they will capitalize on The Last Dance. Still grieving over all those precious Off White sneakers you missed in 2019? Well, we’ve got good news for you! Forget all the Ls and start getting ready because we’ve got some saucy rumors for you. Let’s just break them down and hope they’re all going to be true! But if they’re not, Yeezy Yeshaya is releasing soon, so it’s not a total loss!

Off White Sneakers Rumors

Off White Air Jordan 1 “Canary Yellow”

Update: It’s 2021, and the canary yellows didn’t drop yet. However, maybe this year will finally be it thanks to the new website we got! It’s got all the old and potentially new Off-White sneakers! So make sure you check out our latest news right here.

The Off White Air Jordan 1 was first spotted in Virgil Abloh‘s “Figures of Speech” exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago. If it ends up getting an actual release date, the Off White Air Jordan 1 in the bright yellow colorway will definitely be one of the hottest and hype-worthy Off White sneakers! However, nothing is confirmed yet and the kicks are still a sample. But let’s keep our hopes up!

Off White Air Jordan 5

The Off White sneakers that created a whole lot of controversy among sneakerheads. With a textile mesh upper and Virgil’s trademarks, the kicks make an interesting sight. But what really catches our attention are the yellow soles that give the Off White sneakers a really worn-out look. Some people are enjoying this while others flat out hate it! That does not mean that it won’t sell out when it releases though!

Release Date: February 2020
Style Code: CT8480-001
Retail Price: $225

Update: Well, if you’re wondering, this pair did drop, not just in grey, but also in sail! The grey pair dropped on February 15, 2020, and today it resells for around $1,000. The sail, or Fire Red, pair dropped 8 months later, on October 29, 2020. However, this pair wasn’t as successful as the first colorway. It actually averages $600 on the aftermarket! Pretty affordable for Off-White sneakers.

Off White Air Rubber Nike Dunk

One of the Off White sneakers that are still in their early rumor stages. Unlike The Off White Air Jordan 1 and 5, we didn’t have any pictures or even mockups of the OW Nike Dunk! But after the New York Fashion Show, Virgil showed us the upcoming kicks, so it’s safe to say that they might not be rumors after all!

Update: Rubber Dunks is also another rumor that ended up hitting the shelves! Virgil Abloh totally does right by the rumors. Although these are arguably the least hype Nike Off White sneakers, they’re still kinda profitable on the aftermarket

What About Other Kicks?

Well, aside from all the Off White sneakers, Travis Scott apparently has a lot to give this year! The most notable releases are going to be:

Travis Scott x Air Jordan 6 Yellow

No sneakerhead in the world can ignore the fact that the first Travis Scott AJ6 that released in 2019 was one of the best looking and most profitable sneakers of the year. That’s exactly why it’s coming back in 2020 in a new colorway! The mustard yellow version of the kicks might not be as pretty, but it’s definitely as hyped! However, Nike declared that unfortunately, we will not be getting them in March! Let’s keep our fingers crossed though.

Travis Scott x Nike Dunk SB Low

The first teaser in his “JACKBOYS” music video took the sneaker industry by storm! The unreleased Nike Dunk features the paisley print that turned out to be tearable according to Travis’ Instagram post. These teasers are hyping both sneakerheads and Travis’ fans. However, no release date has been set to date. Keep it locked on our blog for the latest Travis Nike Dunk SB news!

Update: This was probably one of the highlight of 2020’s SB Dunks. After all, it really was their year. And if Travis is a pretty famous fan of the line. So getting a collab was a no-brainer, it was just a matter of time. Some of the kicks came in special packaging, while others came in a regular box. Either way though, the kicks are worth at least 10x the OG retail price!

Final Thoughts

Well, seems like it could be a good year for some Off White sneakers shopping! But let’s not get our hopes too high. They might turn out to be rumors after all. We’re familiar with previous cancellations and postpones. However, it’s never a bad idea to have your bot up and running. Having NSB by your side in 2020 is the best idea after the great 2019 update.
