However, it seems like Corteiz decided to bring back that type of hype in 2017! Corteiz RTW (Rules The World) was founded in 2017 by British-Nigerian Clint Ogbenna or just Clint419 on Instagram. The dude started small, even his Instagram account was private.
You see, Corteiz is as far as underground brands could go. The only way you’d find the account was by knowing about it by word-of-mouth. In other words, you needed to be one of the elite to know when the items with the Alcatraz logo will drop. Why? Because contrary to Supreme’s weekly drops, Corteiz drops happen at random times! In fact, in 2021, Nike filed a lawsuit against Corteiz because the name is very similar to Nike’s Cortez. The brands settled the lawsuit with Corteiz paying Nike a total sum of £1,850. And well, the past stayed in the past when they decided to join hands in 2023!
